  1. Whoever felled that is a genius! Thats my new plan, fell tree and leave in huge pile in the garden, charge £800, tell customer to put it on gumtree and he'll make his money back!
  2. Do you already know how to fell? if so then get the transit and get out there working, Mrs Miggins won't care what tickets you have. If you don't know how to fell then do a course first.
  3. Stick it on arbtrader.
  4. We felled a massive lime once on a council job, turned out it wasn't theirs, not our fault, but the funniest bit was after the **** hit the fan and the dust had settled we went back and ground the stump....... turned out he was hoping to coppice it lol then we had round 2..
  5. A few stills..
  6. Did you video that?
  7. Here's how it started: Skip to about 20s [ame] [/ame]
  8. Don't you just hate it when the tree has to come out through the house.... [ame] [/ame]
  9. Sometimes there's a bolt, same idea though, should just slide off once the bolt/pin is out.
  10. Nice! Speedline's good on the right job.
  11. The fuchs ones are slightly larger and taylor made, can be had mail order though. The speedy system is similar and is ok. Still not a quick and easy as the fuchs though.
  12. Get one of these Reiner Grease System - Fuchs. Miles better, no mess, the grease is sucked out of the cartridge and not pushed, they just screw on...
  13. The 190 is available with the square quad chip knives apparently...
  14. Other options
  15. We demo'd one a few weeks ago, its not bad, but no better than the 1928 that it is replacing, It has some nice design features over the1928 but I don't think its a better chipper...
  16. Ha ha. Nice work Simon.
  17. The real question is why are so many people using mewps these days, I have used a basket for mile long crown lifting jobs, and for taking ivy off a building. I have never used one to take down a tree. Ever......
  18. Dean's right, the brakes are nowhere near as good in reverse as they are going forward. Might be enough to stop you pushing them but not hold a heavy load on a steep slope.
  19. You're supposed to have a divider in the basket to protect the operator...if you do that its fine..
  20. We have an ST6, its a very good chipper, Well built and aggressive for a 6" machine.. I have never liked the TW's but they seem to have a big following...
  21. Oak branch wood, shave the sapwood off the bottom 2 - 3 foot and bury that.
  22. Yes Pete, really pleased with it.
  23. A few from today...
  24. £500? How long will it take to chip?
