  1. Hi guys, Just had a customer on the phone to say his Fast Tow trailer has been stolen (again) - this is the same one that disappeared last year and we managed to get back, butt this time they've take his splitter too (don't know details of splitter as yet but will let you know). This was taken from the Lymington area and is very distinctive - fully galved, 3 set of bolsters (but holes for 4 sets), 4.2m gull wing legged crane with red grab. crane is dark grey. This one doesn't have a flat bed and the headboard sits in the front set of bolster holes. There's only two of this crane in the whole country and I know where the other one is so if you see or hear of anything let me know - I'll try and get more details asap. We managed to re-unite them last time thanks to it being offered to someone and they recognised it as one of ours and rang us for details/spec - lets hope we can do it again this time. Ta, Chris @ Riko
  2. it gets interesting at about 1 min 55 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STt7DmJeeVc&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Disco 3 at moegatle 4x4[/ame]
  3. A guy I know has an ex Merc demo one - was something like 180 hp to start with and then chipped up to 250 - it goes rather well for a diesel.
  4. talk to Buzzsurgeon on here - he's got a 6" tracked TW and he's not far from Hull - maybe able to help?
  5. I've burnt it and not had any problems - does burn quicker than other oaks but then it's not as dense so that amkes sense. if you've chance of some I'd say go for it
  6. Get the hydraulic PTO kit for it - Fuelwood run their machines at the shows off their boxer and it works well
  7. I always liked the husky blue plastic ones, didn't last long on 325 chain though as the hole wore out but on 3/8 was great. Still got the one I bought when I bought my first saw in 1999 and haven't lost it (yet). Don't like wooden ones as they get slippy.
  8. Hi Steve, 36cm PTO one is £7,300 plus vat on the introductory offer, we've got a few current model 30cm ones (without the slewing elevator) left available for £5,700 plus vat but once they are gone it's on to the new version which is slightly higher price. Guarding wise, I've not had chance to get a proper look at the new model yet but I know the regs did tighten up about guardign on all processors as there was asomeone in Germany had an accident when they reached round the guards. If you wanted to have a look at the current model 30cm then we've a lorry due in in about 10 days and there's one left on that load spare and we're only at Kinglsey (well i'm not but the main yard is). New model 30 and 36 are going to be almiost identical to look at but different bar and different hydraulics. they're due in early March.
  9. Just to throw another one in the pot, we've just recently started selling the Farmi processors alomg side the Balfor kit - still early days but we've some introductory prices and they are specced quite well. 30 and 36cm versions, powered in feed trough, slewable elevator (on the new models) and unlike some smaller chainsaw processors, you can be sqwing the next log while the ram is still out. these vids show the same machine [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViFi01iyiJQ]YouTube - Pilkemaster vedmaskin lång version[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nVd-bcsFNk]YouTube - ?????? ?????????.MPG[/ame]
  10. I miss those days soooo much
  11. Small hp is always a difficult one as you can either go for a quicker flow rate but less pressure or more pressure and less speed. Smallest petrol one we do is a 9 tonne on 5.5hp and that's not that quick - so I'd think you'd struggle speed wise on a decent sized one to make it work well on a 4hp engine
  12. Should be quite good - don't go too dig diameter with the ram and it should be quite quick too. Are you thinking having it to use from the cab (a bit like a woodcrakcer but the other way round) or just mounting a splitter to use stood next to it?
  13. Nope, they went a while ago - got them made by a local fab shop so they shouldn't be too hard to get a set made by someone local to you. Have got some more pics if you wnt some emailing?
  14. Congratulations
  15. I just wanna see the Chevy - that would sell it to me!
  16. Agree with the above - 9" seems to fit most fireplaces, though you'll always get asked for something different
  17. Here's the pics, it's not done many hours from new - the guy who bought it only had one contract for it to start with and didn't get the other's he'd tendered for so only runs a 2m version now on big tractor. Can sort out a current pic next week - looks just the same as in the bottom pic but with a bit more paint worn off. Price of this model now is in the region of £7K pplus vat and delivery - this one is £4500 plus vat and delivery. Its down in our Hampshire yard but delivery would be sub £100 plus vat. Hope that helps, sorry pics aren't the best
  18. From memory its a Ventura TFVJ 130 - am in the office tomorrow so will sort out some pics (inc some working shots) and double check price.
  19. We've a lightly used Ventura swinging hammer mulcher with hydraulic top cover in the yard at the mo but it might be a bit small for you as it's only a 1.3m working width - only been on a 75hp Carraro for a few months. If it's of interst let me know.
  20. There is some fantastic US and Canadian equipment but fairly often by the time it was made to meet UK HSE regs it wouldn't be anything like the same machine anymore
  21. One year we ended up with a load of standing dead elms to take down round the Estate, biggest was only around 15" dbh. was billeting it all up with the Thor (20 tonne PTO) and it was that tough I managed to stall out the County on one lump - that old splitter would split pretty much anything you could throw at it but the Elm was just nuts. Burnt fantastically though!
  22. Yep, that would be us Nigel Tonks used to import them a few years ago and then went back to work for Technorton. Drop us an email via the website or even a PM on here and I'll help where I can.
  23. Nope, though I do only live 5 min away from Ryetec; I work for Riko now - if you click on the button on the side of the page ----> it will take you to our site - we're in one of the big marquees again this year. Yep, LAMMA is a big agri machinery show at Newark Showground, I'm pretty sure it's free entry too. LAMMA Home Page
  24. Lee Lightburn @ Lake Lumber Equipment - don't hve a current phone number for him thouigh as he's running out of a new unit now. Bought my Eagle, Hawk and Thor Profi off him when I was still cutting We've got an introductory offer on the Farmi Mastercut and have the road tow version at LAMMA next week if anyone want's a look.
  25. One of these Stevie? ? http://http://joby.com/gorillamobile/original/
