  1. ok as im new to this whole industry im going to add this whether its important or not or anyones interested or not doesnt bother me but would using a crane and chargeing the same as not using a crane be more affective due to the fact you can do the job quicker so there for you can go through more jobs then doing it without the crane? also i want to say after reading all that i have 1 hell of a lot of stuff to learn about becoming a tree surgeon. i found that thread really interesting.

  7. well i need to find out if i have the job first so i will keep you all posted. im really looking at getting some experience under my belt and trying different sectors of the arb industy so i can say yes or no to what ever jobs i can find.

  9. cheers big dog im just testing the water so to speak may as well try them all before i settle for 1 and i thought it would look good on my cv shows my a grafter. Not that im saying any of you arent.
  10. as long as they pay me a wage give me experence and there was something else but cant remember what it was now. a bit of hard work never hurt anyone

  12. i had an interview today with a company that do rail clearance and was wondering what its like to do the job? it will be my first job in this line of work so is it ok for a first job? will i get to do anything special? looking for opionons so i want be offended by anything you say cheers

  15. ok after reading all this im feeling the urge to become a good groundy for someone in the future, so if i can have a list of all the jobs that a groundy does so i can become a good groundy if you could highlight all the important ones please
  16. hey all, ok here goes ive just finished college and as far as i know i passed my course which was NQ Tree Management/ Tree surgery it was called both, anyway im now looking for a job, i live in ayrshire, scotland but willing to relocate for full time work, i have cs 30, 31, 38 and 39, first aid certificate and a driving license and own car. if you can help me out please do tell me cheers Alasdair (thats my real name by the way)

  21. my biggest fear is doing branch walks well not the whole branch walk going out im find but its going back in taking the slack up on ur rope and trying not 2 slip all that the same time blows my mind. also sometimes when i change anchor points i think is this big enough
  22. oh man is this the standard i have to live up to when i start a real job with a company again? davetherave being a Prodigy i can see what u have done there and i must say its a good likeness
  23. hope he has a speedy recovery going back to work after the hospital would be the last thing on my mind if it was me so all i can say is good for him. and some pics of it would be good since ive never really seen any pics of injurys via a saw not that im into that sort of stuff but it would be good for safety in my head if that makes sence. which it prob doesnt
