  2. the pack fix system does work,,, both air dried and in the kiln too. to answer question, not insane claim.
  3. unless iam totally out of touch ,you are not smallish on here. oneman band, nice profit margin,glen farrow plug and play, and away you go.
  4. well,,,??? we are waiting in suspense. my glen farrow ,plug and play. very happy. fresh cut timber to 15% logs in 7 days, taken out hot,leave for a week to even-up. dry on outside ,20% on inside, 10.5 inch log x 4.5 inch square/pizza.
  5. depends, are you selling logs like every have a go harry ,cheap/expensive wet shite, or ready to burn dry logs.
  6. you must have an expensive transport costs , your quote to barnsley. 20m3 = £71/m3 delivered + VAT 30m3 = £65/m3 delivered + VAT
  7. sugi bars last 3-4 or more times longer than Oregon prolite bars on the processor. but are hell to dress, angle grinder as opposed to file. thanks for reminding me, i will go and get another for spare. may have to start cutting before Christmas if log sales continue like this.

  9. oh, and BSL registration and woodsure accreditation, and have you got public and employers liability cover ,for selling logs and a bit of part time help. family member or not. declaring income from firewood. be careful its a jungle out there.
  10. do not forget the tacho , oh and driver cpc , oh and "hire and reward" insurance and your not overloading your truck with the legal carrying capacity of the trailer.train weight.

  12. i think you will find you are completely wrong...... uk road traffic regulations apply in scotland. not going to argue,, simply get "Agricultural Vehicles on the Road" by "Mike Braithwaite" even timber trailers have to have brakes throughout europe,and at this time you aint voted to get out of either.
  13. oh dear.. any vehicle mam maximum allowable mass over 3.5t, truck and trailer , needs BE licence entitlement and cpc and tacho if delivering logs to customers.
  14. am interested to see a legal solution to your problem. without the complications of trailers.
  15. so you got driver cpc and a tacho fitted, and for hire and reward insurance. tidy.
  16. worth around £10 a bulk bag to burn in kiln.

  19. if you are doing 800t then that should be around 1600 m3. how many staff are you paying.? if you are on your own with a bit of part time help then you should be able to go and buy the 50 grand posch set up. 125/m3 nice,, still a lot of 45 a bag folk around here.
