  1. what drivel. its like question time on here, and very much like the general public. waffle and no comprehension of the market. OOH,ITS EXPENSIVE ,,,AND I PAY A LOT. 10,4% OF BUGGER ALL IS STILL BUGGER ALL. I PAY 10 P/KWH AND £35 PER QUARTER STANDING CHARGE. WOOD BURNERS AT AROUND 6 P/KWH FOR CENTRAL HEATING ECT. £60/BULK BAG 0.7M3 NFG WHAT PRICE DO YOU PAY IN FRANCE.??
  2. Flawed gobblede gook misinformation why oh why try to reinvent the wheel. Wood has been sold by volume for millennia. Why confuse the general public and many on here by trying to convert to weight. Whoever paid for this document/study should demand a refund.
  3. no offence also, where to store logs, re access for log deliveries , re access for taking em into house ect ect ect......... self seasoning, quantities, OH I DON'T WANT TO SEE THOSE UNSIGHTLY THINGS EVERY TIME I COME HOME. unlike the europeans who generally have three stacks out side their houses. 1. using 2 seasoning from last year 3 this years fresh logs
  4. er,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, no eleci no tinternet no mobile no emmerdale or corrie no orders sh?t might have to talk to missis,,,,,,,,,,,,how do you do that.? on the otherhand,,, might actually get some work done, no phone ringing just when you are actually doing something productive. same for all country, might be a godsend and productivity goes up. good job i designed the bosky to gravity feed the house CH. and am on off grid water. roll on. but general public ? riots and army on streets, panic buying of tat. oh dear oh dear
  5. 1.6 m3 0.82t plus weight of the box you got cheap boxes then ? oh how you going to empty them.?
  6. really ben.? If it is dry then ought to be £75/80t delivered in. Fairer way would be by the m3 wouldnt it...? Fresh cut or laid for ages. Artic upto pins wet get 26t artic upto pins dryish get 18/19t buy by volume, sell, as we all do , by volume
  7. have about 1 1/2 poss 2 artic load of oversize that will not go through processor. Keep thinking about billeting it up, but............ picture on my web site covered in snow, but you get the idea. and i aint a charity,
  8. As for point 3. The going rate should be £100/m3 for a sustainable, profitable business. If you find a supplier for £35/bag, good luck , they will not be around for long, or they are up to something else, will they be vat registered, i dont think so.
  9. Went to fuelwood open day sat. Met log barons, good chat, and good to meet you. Fuelwoods questionnaire, "what price do you sell firewood per tonne ? " wrong firewood is sold by volume. This is an established firewood machinery company
  10. Was going to carry on and expand my post. But exceeded the 10 min rule while having my tea. So change required administrators.
  11. 10 minute edit rule is pants. Change it please admin
  12. dear bowlander. i do sympathise with you to a greater extent. discussed many times on this forum, most can not and do not know the difference between a m3 bag, a builders bag, a tonne bag, ect. yet to answer point 1. most builders tonne bags are 0.6-0.75 m3 so are faily consistant when loose filled with logs.
  13. whats retail. and wholesale price
  14. whats wrong with agrivert out at showell farm on the great tew road. got 4 or 5 sites around oxfordshire.
  15. me too if the quality"s right. 07976 365164 when will you have some roadside.
  16. stovax stove pipe thermometer most important eco fan well worth it. logs cut and split for 2 seasons at least. how to tell how long a log has been cut and split logs should be 10" long and 4" square/triangle for best drying and burning, re FC guide. for best economy and heat efficiency get a decent stove as opposed to none air tight cheap versions. have your logstore with vehicular access , not around the back find the graph of moisture content vs heat production. wood fuel wales i think.
  17. hi logsnstuff. why are your logs so heavy. previous post you said, could only carry 2 bulk bags 0.7 m3 ?
  18. 350-450t one man band , around £100/m3 then a nice living. but 26k on one machine ? needs to be semi auto to keep one man band or its a sideline to other jobs. wages are the killer, the additional man required is seldom reliable. firewood bubble.? is it sustainable.? when will it burst.? fracking, gas at 2.5 3.0 p/kw. wood at 6-7p/kw. thoughts............?
  19. if hp37 is £2000 cheaper than bgu and palax ,,,,,,,then hp all the way.
  20. rob d on here, most excellent bar and paper rustler was sourcing sprockets ?
  21. ooh !!! now there's a dilemma. in that case, hp 37 all the way.
  22. had a 37 for a couple of years now, done around 1000 t of hard wood through it. binderberger log deck. no big issues , had palax 600 and a hp 37 before it. can not believe they are same price as hp37 they all have pluses and minuses yes i would have another BGU
  23. oh and as for logs and profitability certainly wood have priced their seasoned at £120/m3
  24. take it up to mick bennetts at school farm, iam shure he would let you have a little storage for your kit in return.
