  1. No worries Tommer, it's gone to a good home
  2. Really nice to meet you Tony, the opinions are still there mate, I was just dying a thousand deaths with a bad cold, I wasn't really myself over the weekend, was bad on the way home and now I'm really bad, proper man flu now. Nice to meet a few more new faces as well
  3. Hi Paul Sounds like they knew you were coming mate and brought out all the gear Your visits should be unannounced
  4. We do jobs like that whilst being fired upon by the taliban crawling on our bellies to the chipper through crocodile infested swamps, whilst being eaten alive blood sucking creepy crawlies , whilst talking to stevie on the phone:biggrin:
  5. Mark...I'd dream of an easy job like that
  6. Thursday for me, round the show friday and saturday then back home saturday. I'm the boss, I'll say when I have a day off or two
  7. If you seperate all the individual blades of grass and weave it into baskets on site, you will not need WCL as it as now been turned into a product, rootball can be ground and composted
  8. I just need to get our lass to pedal the generator a little faster for PM'ing Tom, it make the laptop sap a bit more power, she's already pedalling like mad as I have just stuck the kettle on for a brew. Should be able to send the pm in a few seconds
  9. I'll be at the beer tent if I manage to get through immigration
  10. Before now they have asked me to leave the chip, then I get a phone call when they come home from work asking me if I can take it away they didn't expect there to be so much Mind you, when they ask for chip I chip everything
  11. Thats ok Andy but some customers when hey ask for the chip expect there to be a couple of bucket fulls. I bet they thought what the hell when they saw all that
  12. your just not doing it right. my mates just bought half acre for 17.5k you need to look at agri land approach afarmer tell him you have 20k burning a hole in your pocket and you need a yard to buy i did it and ended up with 3.5 acres for 10k
  13. no the iveco was at a show last year I'm just dreaming I had one

  14. I just got a bit pee'd off the other day when my 020 pull cord went and I spent 10 minutes rooting through crappy dust and grime, rusty chains and screwdrivers trying to find bits. I reckon if I saw a first aid kit for saws at a show, with say three or four spark plugs a couple of each pull cords etc etc I'd be tempted, then if it contained an inventory you can do a periodic stock check and replace used items, all in one of them little see through watertight containers. Just an idea, it appeals to me but I am hot on maintainance, others may not be But dont blame me if you run with the idea and end up going into liquidation a month after
  15. Justin, have you ever thought of putting a little kit together. A box containing a selection of often used spares like Plugs Pull cords Clutch springs Air filters earth wire If you made one up bias for the MS200, BG85 and HS86 ??
  16. I've often thought of another truck but it's just another overhead sat there doing nowt half the time. You can pick a yard up for £20K and the mortgage payments on another yard will be a tiny overhead what...£100 a month or something, plus the bonus is when you come to sell it you get your money back plus it goes up in value
  17. Plonker.......I've got a spare carb here
  18. Can you take some Brufen with you Justin, might need a plentiful supply ...and I'm being serious
  19. Just do what I do and work close to your yard. 1st Job today was about 300 yards from the yard and second job was about 500 yards Its rare I spend more than 20 minute round trip to empty and even then I just send my groundy or I'll tip whilst he clears up. Streamlining is the answer or buy two yards, one at eithr side of town
  20. I think they are Tom, but yorkshire stone is quite easy to work and is fine grained so good for lettering as well
  21. I know toyota dealerships are franchises if thats owt to do with it. Our lass ordered the pads today and gave the bloke a roasting because of his "clever" couldn't give a donkeys attitude. She questioned why they didn't stock basic items and he said they do, but not for the amazon ?? She then pointed out it is a basic service item and brake pads should be stocked for all models, otherwise it means the car is in over night if it needs pads ?? They should also stock basic service parts for their flagship model... I think he didn't like being shown up by a woman. She then phoned the dealership we take the amazon to for service after falling out with this local one and they said they stock the pads and if we ever need parts again, they will travel 25 miles and deliver them to our house next morning personally
  22. Just email him Graham and ask for his telephone number, hes willing to sell the lot wholesale for someone else to retail. Just email and mention you know me and you've seen the pics. [email protected] Its Duncan you need to speak to
  23. Grass em up and get rid of the competition
  24. Absolutely useless What kind of dealer doesn't stock brake pads I have tried and tried with my local dealer to give them business, it seems they just want to drive people elsewhere. I'm honestly gobsmacked that a dealership parts dept doesn't stock a basic service item Rant over:001_smile:
