  1. Drew, I don't use hitches anymore so that wouldn't be a problem and I'd like to think I'm not due a fall but accidents happen. I always try to eliminate any slack from my system. Very valid points you have raised!
  2. I think you may find Richard Olley at Kingswood Training has that area covered nicely with all the relevant funding options for service leavers.
  3. Rich, did you run this plan past Mr Olley?
  4. is it suitable for the unicender? I would have thought so.
  5. Maybe the comparison should have done more with the fixed bollard on the GRCS? Never had a problem with mine. To take monster bits like in the video you would need monster split tails blocks and ropes.
  6. Good vid. The new GRCS has been beefed up and is a lot heavier. It also has an option for a visor plate that you notch into the tree. It does stop any upwards movement. Obviously not dropped a Volvo on it!
  7. I see, not used it in a while and the last time I even saw it was when it was LOLER'D
  8. My 2001 which I no longer use is a porta wrap type bollard.
  9. What does the carb kit comprise off?
  10. It's an older machine, will check when I get back in. Hope it's not a carb!
  11. Going to have a look later today.
  12. How much are these products?
  13. Having seen it melt I think I'll give it a miss.
  14. Hi, had a day with the mulcher/shredder blade on today, great bit of kit for the brambles! However late on in the day there was a problem. After about 5 minutes of constant running it would loose power and stop running. If I re-primed it it would run again. I'm thinking fuel problem, maybe a blocked breather or getting in air? Any thoughts please?
  15. You could put the danger sign with the warning death of electrocution! High voltage electrics tend to make people think!
  16. Try Lee Ward coach builders, they are in Birmingham.
  17. Lifting limbs with a GRCS. Still wouldn't use dynema!
  18. My understanding is you get a basic ticket then you can work under supervision. How do you get the experience to progress to do your own work? Has anyone thought of doing a course and is it worth doing? Diversification and all that? I would imagine it would be better to have an engineering qualification for inspections etc? Thoughts please.
  19. Skip, just realised who you are!
