  1. He used a large gas burner and simply charred the timber. It looked quite brutal but also very effective when done! Think its on you tube?
  2. Did you see the burnt larch on grand designs?
  3. Take a look at the Ash in the ESSO garage on Ipswich road!😳
  4. Sherrill recommend splicing the rope terminations. This will maintain rope strength instead of reducing it like a knot.
  5. One of these! http://dmmprofessional.com/products/rigging-hub-medium-hub108/
  6. Like a DMM hub only in 3d
  7. When I first saw this I thought about using it like the Shizil for a termination instead of a knot. It was either that or the DMM hub. I still haven't got either!!😳
  8. 👍👌Spot on!
  9. Just seen the link. It's taken a while to get here but look at the Unicender farce!!👎
  10. 3D rigging, what's the dimensions etc. Seen it in the Rock Exotica magazine a couple of years ago but not seen one in the flesh!
  11. Got a 20" on my 395xp and it flies!
  12. No mate, just got my dogs for tracking deer, beating etc.
  13. You doing shutzhund?
  14. Let them do it! I dont compete with fools! I have my running costs and they are what they are. It would end up costing me money at those prices. I dont want to work for people that want you to work for nothing! My clients pay for my skill and professionalism.
  15. I see, perhaps it would help if I'd actually seen one in the flesh!🙈
  16. You have me confused! It must use a hitch, it doesn't have a clutch like an LJ. Would the LJ or SJ work in place of the hitch?
  17. Thought the HH is used below the hitch instead of above like the RW? Going to look for pics now!
  18. Has anyone tried it with an LJ or SJ? Would it even work?
  19. There is always a danger of slack when using a base anchor. You could use that method to go above your original anchor point, or use a sling and revolver.
  20. 👍Like the marketing style!
  21. See, more abbreviations!😁 I blame them over the pond!! I keep it simple and use SRT for everything, access, and work. It's just SRT to me. I can't understand why anyone would use SRT to access a tree and then switch to Ddrt?
  22. Screw gate no! 3 way is much better but it would help if the gate was outboard! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Without derailing this thread I think you either do SRT or DDRT. The fact that we all use abbreviations doesn't help . For example SRTWP, what's that about? You either do or don't use SRT. If you only use it for access fair enough. Rant over!😳 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. Adam, been a devout SRT man for about 3 years, never ever go back to DDRT except for crane work. Unicender all the way! Tried the RW with a hitch but could not do with the constant tending of a hitch and I hate sit back. RW with an LJ would be my next choice.
