  1. Well spotted! • carrying material or equipment to be used by that person in the course of his or her work, provided that driving that vehicle does not constitute the driver’s principal activity* *An example of a driver under exemption vii (also known as “incidental driver”) would be a brick layer who drives a load of bricks from the builder’s yard to the building site and then spends their working day laying bricks. In this case, driving a lorry is incidental to their main occupation. Not sure what happens when you drive back with a load of chip and heavy?
  2. I don't think it is compatible with a Mac? Looks good though.
  3. Mac, I have got all the roads, national parks etc but I also have the whole of the UK which is around 4Gb so to large to fit on the supplied card thats why I was thinking of buying the 8Gb SD card.
  4. Is that the new Primus? What's it like for retrieving?
  5. Mac, I have the RA 7000 as well, Sounds like you use the same set up as me. Did you buy a 8MB SD card? I am planning on getting one so I can download the whole of the UK 1:50,000 onto it!
  6. Memory Map do 3d air photo etc. You can even simulate traveling the route!
  7. The positioner i got from Jonesie has not got any rubbers, in fact it hasn't got a ring? its just a disk with a swivel attachment and a guide for the rope.http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://www.gustharts.com/uploads/products/fullsize/Postitioner.jpg&imgrefurl=https://www.gustharts.com/Products/Arborist%2520Equipment/Arborist%2520Climbing%2520Equipment/A.R.T.%2520Advanced%2520Ropeclimbing%2520Technology/Product/ART%2520Positioner/&usg=__lbWSM8ZoNzpAXcXFp5KCiHx_lgs=&h=300&w=300&sz=33&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=6V4Kr6UEqH_viM:&tbnh=116&tbnw=116&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dart%2Bpositioner%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den-us%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1
  8. yeah thats the one! contact DVLA i had a similar problem with my lift platform , the seller in my case was correct and even tho it has a tacho it does not require an opperators liscense , however it does require you to have catagory c1 to drive it or pree 1997 liscense hope this helps you How does the above make it exempt? I have looked at the Vosa guideline and I am sure it would need an operators license. I will check with DVLA.
  9. Hi, Just seen an Iveco daily 4910. The owners says its plated at 5200kg but "THE TRUCK HAS BEEN PLATED TACOGRAPH EXEMPT,SO THERE NO NEED FOR AN OPERATORS LICENSE ,CAN DRIVE ON A CAR LICENSE". His words not mine. I don't think this can be right? he says he has filled out a form when he had it MOT'd. Does anyone know the legalities?
  10. Are you referring to the new First field dressing? If the casualty is unconscious or not if YOU don't stop the bleeding he/she may bleed to death!
  11. Could we see your version?
  12. Very unlikely to get a license to shoot deer at night in England! You could use a shotgun with appropriate ammunition although you have to be close and i would advise against it! Portable high seats sound like the best option.
  13. I have friends who have seen them in North Yorkshire!
  14. Thats right, forigners pay sill money to shoot a CWD. There were originaly 2 types of Muntjac imported to England, The Indian (none left) and the Reeves which is causing mayhem ever where.
  15. Mine is a solid green line. Makes a great light saber for the kids!
  16. Very similar to mine only mines crap!
  17. This will only work for a very short time and only in bright sun as will barrier tape. I think there are a couple of electronic systems but I think they are more of a back garden job. One system emits ultrasonic waves and I think the other sprays pepper or a chemical? If you have no other choice tree guards it is then!
  18. Muntjac are concentrate browsers( they will eat buds leaves flowers etc), the first signs will be slots then more slots! The understory will soon disappear. They will not normaly stray to far from cover but there is always the exeption! Fraying is done with the canines mainly on whips about pencil thickness. if you are going to use tubes they should be a minimum of 1.2M as this will also give protection from Roe but not Fallow etc. I have seen many Muntjac run straight through sheep fencing without stopping, Ocaisionaly they may get the back leg caught in the top strand or through the sheep net where they will probably die They may tear chicken wire if they run into it and get caught with the short antlers, they are very powerful and dense for their size. maybe a deer management plan should be implemented?
  19. Was it stolen from your yard or off site? I will keep my ear to the ground for you!
