Bath time should be the highlight of the day – so you must be going through hell! Mate my advise would be don’t push it or make an issue of it (hard I know) Do you bath with him? If not I’d recommend you do. Just sit in with him, opposite each other and have fun, let him see you wash yourself and your hair, have a laugh and show him it can be fun. As he gets more confident have a splash, let him splash you, splash each other……with a little luck he’ll forget all about his phobia. Good luck dude!

Good question, and simple to answer - On this job I was acting as a contractor and getting paid. If I didnt do the work, someone else would. The trees are being 'coppiced' in that location because the riverside is being developed and a new bridge is to be built near that location.

We travel through there every year on the way to the Isle of Wight. The last few years we’ve stayed in the New Forest for a few nights., kids love it – So jealous!

The whole lot went through mate! The worst of it was the dust created from branches in the flood-plane, that and the countless women’s ‘sanitary products’ hanging on the end of each twig! God-knows what its done to my lungs – cough cough..

Mate - I made the lads tidy the pile up (in the last pic) this morning! They called me pedantic or was it ‘fussy ba@tard’ either one they’d be laughing if they read this! I guess I just like a tidy pile. We took 4 big loads of core-wood off that site – nightmare!

This is just a bit of bread &butter work. This was a priced job we just finished today. Felling Elm trees on the river-bank to open up the view (there are plans to put a new pedestrian bridge near this site) Anyway – I walked this site a few weeks ago and priced it up for two days work – we were there for four, Doh!! Pics and vid were taken on the mobile so sorry for the quality, note the before and after pics…Nice place to work though! [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame]

I have a thick skin Jason, dont worry about it. Maybe L/A's, as well as the private sector have their good-eggs, as well as bad.

I'm L/A and have requested climbing tests/assessments for the last two sets of interviews. Most L/A's use a scoring system when interviewing candidates and the climbing test is now an essential part of the interview procedure. Don’t worry about it, in theory it would be possible for someone to ‘blag’ their way through an interview and ID tests and get the job (and not be able to climb). The assessment is there to make sure you 'walk the walk' as well as 'talk the talk'
