  1. From the limited research I did it seems there are little to no independents out there…..I went straight to Spiderlift. http://www.spiderlift.co.uk/?gclid=CP6S5eDV-JgCFUaK3godNybllg
  2. Just a thought….For those of us who are going to the show this year – would it be a good idea to start using pics of yourselves as your avatar in the months running up to June? We might stand a chance of recognising each other, as I for one wouldn’t get on with a pink carnation!
  3. I bought my Teupen (15 GT) for £20k (this came off the importers hire fleet) New they were quoting around £25k although there were some ‘as new’ machines that Sky TV’ had on trial which were going for a little less.
  4. I know where your coming from Pete, been there myself. I know you say you don’t take the posts personally but sometimes its difficult not to when we talk about a profession that we love and are passionate about. Keep up the good work!
  5. If it was near me I’d book a few days off and hide behind the hedge with my telephoto….would be worth the wait!!
  6. I've showed you mine, you show me yours......people will talk x
  7. Birlingham Big Boy - Lets see one of yours then......there's a challenge! I'm going to pass out now..........
  8. Mate, I've been at the Swan all evening.......what does that mean??
  9. No mate, I wrote 'If this mess isn't sorted I'll cancel my contract'. I suspect the e-mail went somewhere where there isn't a good grasp on the Queens English (if you know what I mean) I've rang them and given them both-barrels tonight!
  10. Good Job! I wonder which way the prevailing wind blows…..Towards those other trees?
  11. Fair play Jamie, never seen it done like that before! Hope you were well paid for all that effort.....?
  12. Last night I composed a brief letter of complaint to Vodafone (it was something along the lines of my original post about the Blackberry) I e-mailed it off in the expectant mood of maybe I’ll get a free Blackberry out of all this…..? Guess what?? They cut me off!! Cancelled my contract!! This is the e-mail I received….. Hello John, After going through your email I myself feel very disappointed with the level of service you have received from us, which I deeply regret. John, I understand that you want a refund of £12.77 (exc VAT) and also you want to cancel 07917645985. I have adjusted £12.77 (exc VAT) on your account. The balance on your account now is -£14.69 (inc VAT). I have also see that you have returned the upgrade equipment back at the store. I have cancelled 07917645985 with immediate effect i.e. on 23rd February 2009. You will receive a letter at your postal address within 5-7 working days confirming the cancellation of your account. You’ll receive your final bill about 3 weeks after your account closes so please do not cancel your Direct Debit until your final bill has been paid. Your final bill will consist of a refund of line rental from 23rd to 28th February 2009 and phone usage (if any) until 23rd February 2009. Once your final bill has been debited email me and I will refund any credit balance on your account. I trust the above information is helpful. Kind Regards, Beverly Lacerda Vodafone Customer Services
  13. Cheers for the kind comments chaps! I wonder if the more talented carvers amongst us would do a simple carving in step-by-step photo form (something that we could have ago at following) It’ll be fun having the laptops in the gardens, next to the chainsaws and sawdust!
  14. Took a nice old Pear down today and the wood was too good to chuck away.....so in the back of the Discovery it went! This is my first mushroom for about 3 years.....Had great fun!
  15. Cheers misterTee, thats very helpful! I'm working on an e-mail to Vodafone at this very moment. How did you manage to say all that, and not say 'I aint getting on no plane!'? Nice one!
  16. How much do you pay per month Stuart??
  17. I’m on a very good tariff of £20 per month. £100 to upgrade, and an extra £80 to take me down to a 12 month contract, instead of an 18 month one. Plus £5 per month data bundle. Should have been £25 plus VAT. They wanted £32 plus VAT per month. The L/A don’t pay me that much ! lol
  18. That would make one hell of a bulge in me pocket Steve….might lead to some awkward questions down the pub!
  19. I own a Discovery and at work have the use of a Ford Ranger for pulling the MEWP around and getting my beast of a chipper into difficult places. Also have a fleet of Kawasaki mules which we use to rip around on from time to time.
