  1. Just found a 'new' Logun Mk2 .22 at a dealer - Its only in Bromsgrove so not far away! Hmmmm...this might be the one!
  2. If we all waited for an agreement from a tree, we’d be out of the job.
  3. You mean Crown - Cleaning then Nice job!
  4. Check this out......... M200 and only £1249.99 (and it only shoots plastic ball bearings!!)
  5. We leave all our stumps high (not 6ft. though). We have to as Joe public will sure as hell trip straight over them and make a claim. We don’t grind ourselves, just wait till there are half a dozen scattered round the city and then get a chap in. The only thing I would have done is tidy the top up – Make some nice mushrooms that would!
  6. Using the MEWP just wouldn’t have been fun on that job, plus Tom needs all the experience he can get at the moment. We’re using the MEWP this week in the middle of Worcester High Street. There is a row of Norway Maples right in the middle of the pedestrianised area. Spec for the job is to reduce the crowns 2 metres away from the buildings – Ideal tool for the job in this case!
  7. Cheers Tony, I dont know the Falcons - I will start my research !!
  8. Thats why God gave us early morning starts and Silky Saws Mick!
  9. Can you see the lady on the RHS (top window) Very nice!
  10. Tickets can take years to get, so i've been told..?
  11. Just field targets and maybe the odd bunny. The grand would have to include scope, bag and bottle/pump etc…. I’d like to join a local club and get a new interest/hobby – get me away from this lap-top..lol
  12. I’m thinking of buying an air-rifle again…(I used to have a Logun Professional but had to sell it when the wife discovered it hidden in the garage!) That was about 4 years ago and I’m a little in the dark about current models etc…(I cant find the Logun Professional for sale anymore, maybe its discontinued??) So, my budget is a grand – what do you guys recommend? Cheers, John.
  13. You are kidding!!?? 13k Fair play - I'm going Reg' spottiing tomorrow
  14. I'm with Stevie in this one - You have to have balls of steel to go up high in a MEWP, climbing is for wimps!
  15. Well done Buck! Good-find...I love all these old proverbs. My Grand-ma used to know them all - just wish I asked her to write them down before she passed-on. Bugger!
  16. I want that MEWP! Did you hire it in for the job? or does your company own it? Nice picture, excellent sense of scale.
  17. "Ash before Oak, we’re in for a soak Oak before Ash, we’re in for a splash." This saying suggests if the leaves on the ash tree appear first, it will be a wet summer. If the oak comes first, a dry summer. Does anyone know of any other old tree related proverbs or folklore? Here are a few I could think of (although not especially tree related) ·When dew is on the grass, rain will never come to pass. ·When the chairs squeak, it's of rain they speak. ·Swallows fly high when winds are light. So when they start flying low, the storm's a-coming! ·Rain before seven, fine for eleven. ·If the first week in August is unusually warm, the coming winter will be snowy and long. ·If the day starts cloudy, once there is a patch of clear blue sky big enough to make a sailor a pair of trousers, the weather will improve.
  18. Its been a while since this thread surfaced – Has anyone got or seen any interesting number plates. Have you seen any good tree related plates for sale..?
  19. I’ve always made mine from Oak, Cherry and Pear. I did a few from Ash but these split after time. Try and find a nice wind-blown Oak that’s seasoned naturally in some woodland, you wont go far wrong with that! Ps...Get that pic up on here!
