  3. Someone i know in the village wanted some woodchip so he came and picked it up on his tractor and trailer. He has had it since 1990 and uses it loads. even travels about 12 miles along the road on a regular basis to tend to his pockets of land dotted around.

  5. Well i love my landrover, but now she needs yet another gearbox change. i fitted one from Ashcrofts 18 months ago and she has started knocking again on over run. the tipper ram is knackered too so i need to get that off and refurbed. the stearing box leaks quicker than i can fill it and i am using her so much i cant get around to doing these jobs. Plus my TD5 Disco has blown the engine and i have a second hand one waiting for me to fit but cant find the motivation. Can anyone help motivate me please??

  8. dont know who the heli guys were but can find out. the guys were choking it on when it was at 6m above head heoght. the chopper had a grounding wire so needed to get real low for that. chopper finished now but still a bit to clear up over the next few days.
  9. Yes they had the 100m crane in for the cliff job in Torquay. I was subbed in for that job which was nice apart from the hundreds of used needles in and around! Jon, I have no idea of pricing but wouldn't be suprised if they made a loss just to get the publicity. As for access I have no idea of site but I believe they all quoted with a chopper in mind.
  10. yes jon it was Devon tree services. i didnt take the pictures as i couldnt get down there. did you see it at all? Matt was on the tractor and was only just about keeping up apparantly.
  11. Hi guys, some friends have just finished a contract in plymouth. They hired in a helicopter to lift the timber out due to access issues. thought you might like to see a couple of pics. they only lifted 800kgs at a time but the turn around time from fell site to process site was one and a half minutes!! busy boys indeed. 13. A chap near me has an 03 single cab hilux that he has made into a tipper himself using the original butt. it looks bloody ace and works very well too. Would love to have a normal looking truck with the butt tipping so yes in answer to your question.
