  1. What about giving him a limit of 8 items of clothes. For every £100 raised he has to select an item to be removed. If we get the sponsorship up to £800 it's one fat Plip and chute.
  2. I'll sponsor you. Are they going to use one of those monster ones used for tanks for you.
  3. Sorry I missed this one, the best rope to use would be Dynaline, has no recoil if it fails and mega strong. Dynaline
  4. They do it at Kingswood in Shipbourne Kent. Training | F R Jones and Son
  5. I make you right about the prussik loops it's much cheaper to buy it by the metre. If you buy them in loops it works out a lot more as we have to buy them in tied and tested with individual serial number. Gone are the day when we tied them in house, can't get the insurance for it.
  6. I was looking for the damage, Pop it down mick can do wonders with a welder.
  7. I'll try and make the next one or a midweek one. Stayed at home with the family and the boy got in my tits all day, wish I had gone.
  8. Hi guys can't make it today sorry, need to spend some time with the family. Sundays are going to be a bit difficult for me but I'm up for a mid week one one day if thats possible. Have a good one lads and don't let plippy win, he won't shut up about it for weeks.
  9. Hi A lot of local authority have accounts with us and we trust them to make sure the right person is using the correct saw, they wouldn't risk putting the wrong guy in a harness. If you have a large company come on to you that use there guys and subbies that you know have tickets would you not supply them? The elderly lady one is fine as it is for someone with the relevant qualifications, also a known customer as we had kitted him out in all his PPE when we visited the college. We keep records of all the people that have the tickets on a database to use as a reference when they return and as proof that we have seen all documents.
  10. As a dealer we have looked into this in the past. There is no law, Stihl and Husky would like us to make sure the END USER knows how to use one. It's not always the end user buying the saw. We have to supply saws without tickets sometimes, what when a council or utility company are buying saws. We can't police who is using them on their company, it is their responsibility to make sure their employees know what they are doing. All we are asked to do is make a decision based on what we have been told/seen with each sale. Their is no definitive answer as everyones situation is different. We sold a 201T to a elderly lady just before xmas, it was a xmas present to her grandson who had just got his tickets from college. Less than 2 mins phoned the college and cleared it - sold the saw.
  11. I'm up for it this time round, unless anything silly comes up count me in.

  19. No mate, and I don't know any one up there. Start a thread on it there must be someone local. We can't do it because of insurance. Cheers. Justin.

  20. I'm up for it Mick, count me in. And before you ask Plip yes I'll take you.
  21. Looks like a good day there. I had the pleasure of sorting out pole saws, axes and breaker bars. Always a pain to display in the old place and still a pain in the new place. I'll make the next one, last time I went clays I didn't get one, something to do with my leading hand and blind in one eye. I was shite.
  22. Yeah tell me about it, we have to go through a 10 min discussion with everyone over it, so they understand it's not down to us. No ones paying us for the time I recon I'm losing at least an hour a day. But its Stihls and Huskys rules and we have to follow them.
  23. Hi

Their has been no recall on the 261 and this is first one I've heard of going, if you can get it back to us we will get it sorted under warranty for you. The only problem is we are now shut and moving until the 3rd of Jan.
