  1. No sorry mate just 2 miles from where we are now. I have been for the past 5 years:001_tt2: And no pole dancers, but female staff in arb gear might be present.
  2. At last it's happened we have got the keys to our new building, no more getting parking tickets outside our place. We should have the biggest Arb showroom in the country and be able to take on new ventures. Their will be parking for at least 10 large trucks and you could drive in and turn an artic around in the yard. This is a massive step in the right direction for us, and looking forward to getting it ready. We will have a new phone system so no more engaged tones, we have 4 lines in at the moment but will put 8 in the new place. More staff, more phones, more stock, more lines and a dedicated web team for the launch of all the international sites. The bad news: It will take about 6 months to get it ready for us to move in. We will be having a launch day, and if I get enough takers I'll have an Arbtalk members only soft launch day to check all the system are working. Of course I'll lay on the food and drink for everyone.
  3. Thanks for the feedback, glad we looked after you. I suppose this is the time I should let everyone know that we are moving to a BIGGER shop at the end of the year. I don't want to derail your thread so I'll start a new one about it.
  4. I had a close shave in the shop a while back dropped a new one out of the scabbard and instant reaction was to catch it, pulled away at the last millisecond. Hope your back to it soon.
  5. Winners: Premier Climber 1st Rhys Brace 2nd Donal Roe 3rd Jonathan Treasure Experts 1st Marcus Nicholson 2nd Mark Merrit 3rd Dave Choyce Novice 1st Phil Gower 2nd Frank Lawrence 3rd Phill Broadley
  6. Quality Frank, you need to be there next year and make a short film like that for my website.
  7. Ditto that, I didn't really get a chance to speak with him as I was rushing around doing things and stuff.
  8. Hi Everyone, Just caught my breath after getting back and recovering from the show. We had a few hiccups - the PA announcer getting his days mixed up and the food guy leaving early on the Friday - but I think we managed to work (and drink) around them and rest assured they will not be happening again next year! Other than that and the weather, which I am reliably informed I cannot control, I think the show went really well and would like to thank everyone who came and helped with that success: A massive thank you to Richard Olley for everything he does to help make the show happen. Thanks to Mick Stockbridge and Mark (Gollum) for supplying the targets for the axe-throwing and thanks to Steve for running the comp. There are so many others I need to thank, but this post would get very long and boring - you all know who you are and I'm very grateful. Please let us know what you liked/didn't like about the show and how we can improve for next year. Do you think it would be worth having the show open until later (maybe 7) on the Friday, to allow people to come along after work? Also, if we provided a quality live band and hog roast on the Friday evening, do you think more people would come and camp? We firmly believe that the focus of the show (and the key to its success) should be the social side of professional networking and putting names to faces, so anything we can do to help this, please let us know. I'll stop rambling now - thanks again to everyone who came along / exhibited / helped organise the show. I'm knackered! Justin.
  9. Well done guys, next year we will give you a proper challange.
  10. Thanks Hama good post, sorry Dave I was let down by the PA guy who was also doing the music, I phoned him at 9.30 on Friday and was told he thought it was a Saturday / Sunday show and was in Newcastle. I spent an hour phoning around but couldn't get anyone at short notice. It won't happen again next year you have my word.
  11. Thanks for coming, glad you enjoyed it. See you next year:thumbup:
  12. Shower every morning and evening, I smell fresh as a daisy.
  13. Sorry lads, all the arb trade shows are on a Friday and Saturday. I don't think we would get as many exhibitors if it went to a Sunday. It's a hole load more wages and no break before the week starts. Also it takes me a day to clear up and I need to be back to normal for Monday.
