  8. Haix boots are waterproof, comfy and long lasting, most Arb shops sell them, if you want short boots get the blue ridge, a tall boot is the protector pro, if you just want a landscaper boot without chainsaw protection they do a range to suit as well. see www.workware.co.uk to see the range
  9. The Haix Protector Ultra is insolated so warmer in winter and cooler in summer and has the best level of Goretex available to maintain waterproof membrane, there are lots of boots to choose from ask yourself why the Police, Fire Brigade and the Army all use Haix ? They are not the cheapest by a long way but built up to a standard not down to a price.

  16. Hi Paul Can you drill down on those figures 109 exhibitors with average 6 people per stand = 654 per day are these included in the figures ? How many visitors only turned left to Weston Birt Arboretum from the turnstiles ? How many from the Arb trade [not general public having a day out at the Arboretum who just happened to wander along the path to the Arb show] where there ? Yes it was busier than previous years looking up and down the showground but the trade sellers during the show were not much busier than before and that was to be expected with Honey Brothers, FR Jones and Listers Arb not there The show had a buzz about it and we all want a national show to succeed.

  21. Very Sad news indeed, Dave always had long chats with me at the Arb and APF shows, he would supply wood for tests in Tewkesbury at the Blount HQ. He was a bright spark, full of life, loved our industry, always tried new kit, he was in the Arbor trolley video. My Condolences to his family and friends.

  24. Just got back from a great few days in Eire, the climbing comp had entrants from Germany, Hungary, UK, Eire, Northern Ireland and more. Perfect setting on the Stradbally Estate near Portlaoise, lots of trade stands from shiny things and all things Arb from Arborist.ie who I had the pleasure of working with. We sold out of the New Sip Canopy Arborist trousers, had great success with the new Simarghu harness with countless people trying them on and the women Arborists were over the moon at the Worlds first Gemini female harness. I will upload some photos asap Thanks to all for a great craic in Eire, the climbers spent a lot of time topping up their kit and the banter was flowing especially Tibor from Hungary.
