  1. A mate of mine won an emergency bid for work within Oslo from the kommune. Pushed through and due to start the following Monday. They turned up and were told it was a green site, my mate had no electric saws. The kommune went and bought an array of electric saws and a couple of hours later they started. The larger saws ran out after 6or 7 rings in a large stem. Work stopped. The irony is they needed the work done to a timeframe. The solution was to use an Elctric powered 360 to carry everything off site and then use the traditional 2 stroke and diesel chipper to complete the work. The Kommune had even got them an electric chipper which ran out sharpish. Totally bonkers box ticking exercise for the Greenists who make the rules. Job done, matey got paid and went home with a load of electric saws that he hardly ever uses.
  2. Damn, I didn’t think of that link. The answer I was looking for was Thai food. I guess I will have to double the number of points I am giving out 😜
  3. That’s a random question. Why do you ask? No, I don’t have hens. But a lot of people here have them. Eggs are fairly expensive but pretty low quality IMO. From the supermarket. The eggs we get from friends are fantastic.

  9. They are pollards that look to be managed regularly. The majority of the cuts are small. Usually implying that they have only removed 1 or 2 years of regrowth. i think you are over reacting somewhat but at least you are trying to get advice so you are informed. Not all members of the public do so before jumping to conclusions.

  15. After a bit of searching go it would appear it isn’t illegal but not necessary ethical. Seems to change depending on the area or the FAO. I know in the North East if you applied for a .17hmr specified for Fox control trip it would be knocked back. At least in Teeside it was. .17hmr for foxes | The Stalking Directory WWW.THESTALKINGDIRECTORY.CO.UK I understand that here in Essex they don't deem the .17hmr suitable for foxes & that you can't get it on your...
  16. I had a change of FAO whilst I lived in London. On renewal, he asked why I needed a .223 as well as a .17hmr on my ticket? I replied for Fox control. He then started to lecture me that a .17hmr was perfectly good round for foxes. I replied that I am sure it is but as you well know it is illegal to use for culling foxes in England. I think he was either clueless or testing me. No drama I moved to Norway the year later.
  17. I believe it is called “the Red Button Effect” Whatever you do, DO NOT TOUCH THE RED BUTTON.

  19. I knew a few but I was never into the Hooligan aspect. More the fashion. The 90’s were times in that area heavily influenced by Oasis and the Madchester scene. Along with raves and clubbing.
  20. I must have sweated kilo’s in that Jacket. Some places I wouldn’t take it off. Cream in Liverpool, Hacienda in Manchester, Middlesbrough Arena, Back 2 Basics in Leeds, Renaissance nights and plenty of other places. Fun times that seem a lifetime away.
  21. Must admit it went better with a nice pair of jeans and some Patrick Cox, snakeskin loafers as opposed to a pair of Fjellraven.
  22. When I was at Uni in the 90’s I was up in Chester but lived with a load of Manc lads. One summer, I was working on a building site for 3 months. I went back to Uni with a fat wallet and instead of pissing it up the wall and the rest going up in smoke I decided to splash out. Bought myself a Stone Island Parker. Still got it in fact. Paid about 380 quid for it which a a lot in 95. Loved that jacket. Whenever, I put my jacket into the cloakroom at a club I would remove the batch so some scaly didn’t knock it and sew it into a jumper their gran had knitted. You ****************ing want some !???!!! 🤣 (Don’t think it has been out of the wardrobe for about 25 years)
  23. Do you know what he is referring to? Stone Island. The fashion brand of choice for casuals / football hooligans.
  24. Why would that man come up to you? And why do you make a mountain out of a molehill? I have noticed that you often take everything to the worst possible outcome. This forum in the other hand is where questions get asked on tree topics, political topics and religious topics. When you are in a conversation with someone and they make a point. It is nice to know where their point is coming from. You are not a saint Peds, you do your fair share of stoking the fire with your pictures and memes when ever you disagree with someone else’s point of view. The post I have replied to is a classic example. Anyway, I am off to walk the dog. Enjoy your evening.
  25. Whatever you do Joe, don’t clean it. Rumour has it that Steve really likes to receive dirty ones.
