  1. What is it?

  3. Sounds like an excellent clone. They even have managed to replicate the finer points of husky ownership.
  4. What’s the blue thing?
  5. I am half asleep but from my tired eyes I would suggest neither. Sycamore?
  6. I just take a lot of the back weight off to make sure it goes the correct way. I have even been known to cut off limbs from the backside and stack them in the felling direction to tip the odds in my favour. In over 20 plus years, I think I have taken an axe and wedges up a tree with me only a handful of times. Taken a small felling bar up there a few times though.
  7. Was it you who did them? Or are you involved somehow with the planning of the job?
  8. Wordle 1,407 4/6 πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨β¬›β¬›β¬› β¬›πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ¨β¬› πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ©β¬› 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 So close to a 3.
  9. I’ve never used one and asked how it was. He just said it is very slow and if the wood is compromised in any way it screws in and doesn’t lift.
  10. One of my friends has one. He was going though some kit boxes last week and it was in the bottom. I asked if it was any good? He had it a few years but yet it looked brand new. There is a reason for that.
  11. Spruce dismantle to make way for a new carport and garage. We also planked an old Oak that had to be felled when the property burnt down last year: Nice day for it. 28e1556e-e313-4888-98de-8325460afb37.mov
  12. Plum or pear would be my guess. Edging towards plum though.
  13. I think it was a TP that the Kommune delivered to my mate for the Oslo job. I didn’t hear good reports back.
  14. Same with the vehicles. Elctric cars everywhere, superb charging network and there β€œused” to be concessions for el car owners. Such as zero vat, use of buss and taxi lanes etc. they have slowly relinquished those now. My own thought on this…. In order to compensate for the huge amount of fossil fuels the Norwegian Industries (Oil/gas) require to refine they have such green initiatives to reduce the Carbon Footprint.
  15. Oslo Kommune has very green initiatives. Probably written by people with no knowledge of practical applications. For example, the contract went out for the Oslo Kommune tree contract. The city was split east and west. The tender and eventual winner was to use all electric tools for works on the trees. Including the chippers and larger chip trucks. Electric powered 7.5 ton tippers didn’t exist at that time. The tech wasn’t there on the batteries. Chippers were next to useless. I guess they were trying to attain the highest level of Greenism and worked back from there with feasible options.

  17. It is the irony I don’t get. A generator was on site AFAIK to charge the huge 360.

  19. "Equal Whites for Ugly Women" ala Millie Tant.
  20. A mate of mine won an emergency bid for work within Oslo from the kommune. Pushed through and due to start the following Monday. They turned up and were told it was a green site, my mate had no electric saws. The kommune went and bought an array of electric saws and a couple of hours later they started. The larger saws ran out after 6or 7 rings in a large stem. Work stopped. The irony is they needed the work done to a timeframe. The solution was to use an Elctric powered 360 to carry everything off site and then use the traditional 2 stroke and diesel chipper to complete the work. The Kommune had even got them an electric chipper which ran out sharpish. Totally bonkers box ticking exercise for the Greenists who make the rules. Job done, matey got paid and went home with a load of electric saws that he hardly ever uses.
  21. Damn, I didn’t think of that link. The answer I was looking for was Thai food. I guess I will have to double the number of points I am giving out 😜
  22. That’s a random question. Why do you ask? No, I don’t have hens. But a lot of people here have them. Eggs are fairly expensive but pretty low quality IMO. From the supermarket. The eggs we get from friends are fantastic.
