  1. Nice one Stubby. Which AMG was it?
  2. Got to agree, the choice of food and quality of some foods in this country are pish poor.
  3. A couple more. Playing with the girls and stick to chew.
  4. Up the woods for a fire and hotdogs.
  5. Heal quick Eggs.
  6. Totally agree. Harness time for sure. Yet the likes of the companies mentioned usually expect production levels of an experienced climber from someone out of college. I used to live in the borough of Lewisham and Glendale had the parks and street trees contract. A lot of the work was shocking.
  7. Over worked and underpaid. Couldn’t have said it better myself. No need to knock your nuts out in a daily basis to make some company shareholder a bob or two. Been there done that. There is better money to be made working for oneself (whatever the capacity). Is there any wonder that recruitment companies are struggling to fill positions? Maybe if a decent wage was offered or even a decent price was tendered at the bidding stage then it might be different. Until then, the likes of Glendale etc will still offer shit money with a promise of bonus. Everyone else knows it is a load of bollocks and only freshly qualified people (naive) apply. Till they realise they are doing shit work and getting paid minimum. They leave and the cycle starts again.
  8. What happened? Apart from the explosion. Viewing it in my phone and difficult to see.
  9. So what is the cost to develop an App? 4-5 pounds a month isn’t a lot. How many users do you think you will need to recover developmental costs let alone profit. IME, the type of guys who would be the target market are the ones who complain about costs for this and costs for that, either that or are crap as paperwork and would just dismiss something like this - even though it could be helpful. The rest will pay for the additional features of a product like Arbpro.
  10. I am not sure what you are after. Are you wanting to sell it? Are you wanting a value on it? Are you an antique collector? Its and old Stihl chainsaw that will rattle a regular users hands to pieces.
  11. I once used some bailer twine and the largest socket I could find in the set. Worked pretty well and got my up that tree.
  12. Kira, chewing a chunk of buffalo arse cheek.
  13. I would say Willow from the colour and bark.
  14. Is it a rare thing in UK? We see it pretty often here in Norway. If that road was busy, wouldn’t the Chaga absorb the fumes from motor vehicles?
  15. Finished up a 2 day job on Monday. First day was last Thursday and we got the two smaller trees down to the concrete. The trees were filled with concrete by some bright spark back in 1935. OUr job was to get the crown out down the the steel bracing and concrete. I also did half the larger tree and we went back today to finish off. Scheduled for Friday but it was snowing like buggery so we knocked it on the head. The largest of the trees was growing over a kindergarten and there were 4 smaller trees to preserve so I rigged 80% down. Freefalled what I could and even though we weren’t asked to fell the stems due to concrete we popped the big one over with the excavator. Hollow as hell. Smashed chains on the 881, 661, 500i and a couple of 400’s. Grabbed a few pictures. IMG_6703.MOV
  16. It called a bag. If you lock it off, it is called a closed bag. At least that what I was told 20+years ago.
  17. I used a saw with it in about a year ago whilst working with Mike in Bergen last April. Seemed to cut ok when sharp. easy enough to touch up to sharpen. my main gripe was the file is a specific shape to the cutter so cannot be rotated. IMO it is bound to wear out sharpish and at 10-20 quid a pop…. Is it worth it?
  18. can’t see one in the picture but many moons ago I worked a summer season in Connecticut. One day I was up a ladder propped up against a cabin I was painting. I started to come down the ladder to mover it over and there was a copperhead rearing up the rungs. Its head was level with the second rung. I almost crapped myself and started shouting for help but no one came. Luckily it didn’t climb any higher, got bored and crawled back under the cabin after a few minutes. Wasn’t my finest moment.
  19. Yeah mate. Still over in Norway. glad to here the boys are still doing well. Haakon (oldest) is just back at training. He damaged his knee in September last year and required surgery on his knee. lots of rehab and he has been doing my head in to be honest as he didn’t know what to do with himself LOL. But that’s behind him now and training is back on. No fights though for a few month. He needs to get himself fully healed, then back at the Muay Thai and BJJ comps. Take care mate, keep busy. 👍🏾
  20. Nice one mate. Got plenty of work on? Hows the kids getting on? Still going to Repton ?
  21. I would go for Norway Maple.
  22. Ce marked Poison ivy is a bit bouncy for srt. the US version not so bouncy.
  23. A friend came over at the weekend with their Siberian Husky. She is used for helping dogs be rehomed. Excellent well mannered mutt. Kira was in awe. They played, almost wrecked the house LOL.
  24. Different strokes for different folks. I use one quite a bit, one of the guys I work with has them link for comms. Wouldn’t buy one though, as I don’t believe they are worth the money.
