  1. Thats the one, theres nothing like borrowed money to get you out of bed in a morning.
  2. Your best yet! imo Fantastic! Thanks
  3. Few years can make a lot of difference, why did you not do it?
  4. Totally agree!100%!spot on!
  5. Fair comment, but using your argument Pecontools can only compare his own skill/speed as a climber with his own skill/speed in the MEWP. So I stand by my point that imo its a generalisation.
  6. Our native tree have mostly evolved to shed there leaves to prevent wind throw in the winter storm season, ivy reverses this, not good.
  7. Steve,my rope landed today, many thanks to Fletcher Stewart and your good self.
  8. I feel this containes some sweeping generalisations, Faster at discing down than on spikes? depends WHO is on the spikes! 40ft conifers can only be done from ladder or MEWP? I thnk not. Many climbers can do a take down faster than the ground crew can keep up,but what would be the point? I have been climbing for 14 years+ and never used a MEWP for a take down and never turned a tree down, there is imo always a way. This is only my opinion others may not agree, that fine, I do not wish to tell anyone how to do there work and don't like anyone to tell me how to do mine.
  9. No, its the carb of a 020T(plastic) fits the MS200.
  10. Great vid's and more cracking photo's,enjoyed those, Cheers!
  11. Good luck in you retirement, hope it all works out for you.
  12. This what keeps use toasty and warm. It is 150kw a bit big realy, but runs 16 rads 5 of which are ex-hospital cast iron jobs, and all the hot water you could ever need. The fire box is 4ft wide and 6ft deep,so no need to chop logs if I can lift it, it goes in! But being warm isn't every thing for the romance of a real fire we have a Dovre 2300 wood burner.
  13. No,I would say it growing, there are lots of Co's to choose from now not like a few years ago. I'm with Lycetts, used to be called Algarve. I have 5M PL and 10M EL.
  14. Not doing a favour, you have to be doing it for payment I believe.
  15. On ivy coverd tds I always strip the ivy first, start on the ground cutting as high as I can, then spike up removing as I go. I HATE ivy and if I don't get shut first it drives me mad.
