  1. You compassion overwhelms me
  2. IMHO, this is not good advice, I like to have my body behind the saw and contral any kick back with the mechanical advantage this affords.
  3. No!! It just means your not the only one!!
  4. Just one more reason why I do all the cutting myself.
  5. If you haven't used a trailer for 18 months don't just check the lights and go............................. check that all the wheels are going round If you have 200+ horse and a heavy right foot and do 30 miles you may end up with a tyre like this
  6. That sounds like the result of one hell of an accident! He is lucky to have survived all that! I wish him a full recovery!
  7. If its very wobbly when you get up there, take some of one side then go over to the other side and take of a similar amount moving round the tree trying to maintain a reasonably balanced crown. With the rigging keep the pieces small a try not to shock load. Works for me!
  8. Johnboe, PM Steve Bullman, he will help you with your pic's and setting up an auction.

    bad news

If they are being instructed by ex students with little or no "real world" experience it not on! If I was a family member of one of these young lads I would want them trained by someone with many years of on the job real experience!
  10. Waste of time Dean!, they always lie about their hight!
  11. You need to go to the classified section of the site.
  12. It would be good to have an auction, I'm sure Steve or others on here would help you with the technical side!
  13. Just fell it, then pace out the length!
  14. I think you are confusing an "offer" with the asking price.
  15. At that price, I think most on here would have it!!!
  16. Come on!, surely you have worked the night INSTEAD!
  17. If they want it doing cheap let them go else were! I had a guy a few years ago trying to get me to sign up to and 0800 number, I told him if the customer did not want to spend 10p on a phone call I didn't want them as a customer. I think the people who bleet on about "cowboys" must be doing something wrong. I can't do all the work I get offered ! never mind wanting more.

    no fear

If you don't feel fear why bring it up? Your the one who started this thread. You basically said " I should be in fear of chainsaws, but I'm well hard, so I'm not!" If your not scared why bring it up?
  19. I find this thread so depressing I would seem that many of you embrace the nanny state that I despise. Maybe many of you would be happier with a communist government Do you really want the people who have overseen this current financial disaster, are closing A&E departments and loose the private information of millions of us to police our industry. And the thing is it would not stop one rogue trader for a second! This country is, IMHO, truly screwed:sad:
