  1. 80 died in a suicide attach in Afghanistan last week, 400 were badly injured.
  2. Do you genuinely see a happy ending from a Corbyn government? Not having a go, just genuinely interested? I think a lot of his followers know it will end in disaster, but they hate the establishment and the "haves", they have little or nothing to loose and want to see the country collapse. I'm not a fan of May, but feel under her there will be a better outcome from Brexit and things will hold steady until a better leader comes forward. As for her "U"turn, when the £100K protected assets was announced I commented to my wife that I felt there should be a limit on the spend on care. It hardly seems fair that some one with a £1M home would be expected to pay £900K for their own care, when the person in the next bed may get all their care covered by the state. So when the fact there will be a cap was announced I was pleased.
  3. Because during the boom wages shot up to unsustainable levels, so for the last 8/9 years we have had to wait for them to become sustainable again. I was making more in 2008 than I am now, but boy were things good then!!!
  4. Corbyn seem to think taking the moral high ground is the path to success. It's a lovely idea, but in reality it just does not work. He uses this thinking regarding both the EU deal and trident. Obviously no one wants to use trident, but stating you won't makes it pointless, a deterrent has be at least plausible to be real. The exact same is true of the EU Brexit deal, if there is no real chance of us walking away, what possible incentive do they have to offer us a decent deal Sadly I fear he is totally detached from reality, his appointment of Abbot should evidence enough of this for any one, surely?
  5. This always fascinates me, how does working in cold or wet weather cause arthritis?
  6. Shhh!! these are the posts that make the good deals disappear
  7. What is it with you guys and your hips I've ground out 100's of stumps with a pedestrian and never had any issue with my hips, sure my shoulders feel it after a long day, but never my hips. Are you sure your doing it right?
  8. Put more simply..............the politics of envy.
  9. Bang on!!! If only it was as simple as Corbyr and his followers think.
  10. No it's the UE that enforces and collect the tariffs. That's why once we are out the EU other countries will be keen to trade with us.
  11. China pays a good deal to the EU in tariffs. India is forced to pay 100% tariff to the EU on all Scotts whisky they buy.
  12. Anyone else here Corbyn on Woman's hour? Oh dear what a shambles. Why are labour offering free childcare to all? Why should the taxpayer look after the children of yummy mummy's while they go off and shop?
  13. If it were not for Brexit I think Corbyn might have had a chance, given all the Tory cockups. But I think the stakes are just too high and people will not risk it. But in reality only time will tell.
  14. There you go then live and learn
  15. And we import MORE from them, so who will be the biggest looser? This is the kind of cowardice that will sell us down the river
  16. Sadly we live in a time of political pygmies. At least May will hold steady ahead, Corbyn will borrow more and more and goodness only knows what else. The fact he thinks simply raising a tax raises revenue is very scary, if only life were that simple.
  17. Could you explain this again please, I can't seem to make sense of it, but it could be the wine
  18. I'm reaching the point where I want Corbyn to win, just for the entertainment value. Its like a train wreck, you don't want to watch , but can't help it
  19. What % of the electorate voted for Corbyn?
  20. You don't think Theresa May is an elected MP?
  21. I'm no great fan of either, but I know the less of two evils when I see it.
  22. As apposed to Corby's pals in the IRA among others
