  1. I just can't understand why this thread has not been moved to the "Landscaping" forum????????????????????????????????????????????????
  2. Congratulations!!!! I don't understand the two statements above How did you get on the course ????????/
  3. It's only the engine BLOCK that is the same as the truck engine. The engine BLOCK for 4 cylinder engine in the 900, was also fitted in a 7.5 tonne truck.
  4. Hi guys could do with some advice. I have promised my boys, 12 and 13, they can have a quad each for Xmas. I know NOTHING about quads I have looked a Yamaha blaster, seems they could be OK, your opinions please. Any advice would be most appreciated Also I want to get one for myself, so I can go out with them, so what should I get, I'm 39, 5'11" and 13 stone. Thanks guys
  5. I never said I didn't Let your mate get on with it
  6. Developers are generating revenue so they will pay for things than help generate said revenue. Poor old Mrs Muggings get me to look at her tree, I tell its knackered, BUT you need to pay some guy £500 to right a report to say its knackered. I don't think so.
  7. You go to tree, carry out inspection and make notes, go home right report, post report. Wheres the "admin"????????????????
  8. Selling by weight can be tricky, are you going to go the weigh bridge with each load???
  9. £500 a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With what equipment??? a pencil!!!!!!!!!! So a salary before tax of around £100K!!!!!!!!!
  10. Great news!!!!!! So nice to read of someones good fortune, rather than another theft. Good luck with it!!!!
  11. Sounds nasty, were the kids OK ???
  12. Real bad news!!!!!! Hope he gets sorted one way or another. When is something going to be done to stop this sort off thing??
  13. Good plan!! except the punters would want US to pay
  14. Very, very nice!!!! And I reckon they would take a knock from the odd stray branch much better than the B&Q crap.
  15. My advice would be to only use slings etc that are well in excess of the winches maximum pull. I would not really want to be relying an "old coat" to prevent injury. me
  16. IME, the cables on hand winches, like Tiror's, are alway MUCH higher breaking strain than the capacity of the winch, so I don't think there is any really chance of snapping the cable.
  17. The Pop I burned was 6 to 8 inch diameter and in 12 foot lengths, it was under some other timber on the stack for about four years, I cut it into 5ft's and burnt it on my boiler. I would think if you get yours split and under cover it should be great for next winter, I think you would struggle to use it this winter mate.
