  1. Surely here the interests of the locals and the national interests are the same, so hopefully the decisions made will benefit both.
  2. Its a National Park, so its going to be managed in a manner that benefits the Nation, not the locals.
  3. Very true, in the 60's my dad worked building tower blocks, he would go up with the building and walk around at the top of a very high building with no problem. Weeks later he would be asked to go back and do some small snagging job on the top of the same tower, when he got to the top he would be terrified!!!
  4. I've heard that too, I fathered two boys in my twenty's and two girls in my thirty's and balding in my late thirty's.
  5. Bit sort on places to stop for a meal and a few pints though.
  6. There was a member on here who sold their logs by exact number, can't remember who they were, but they just counted them onto the transport vehicle. They had been doing it that way for a few generations I seem to recall
  7. I had a yacht moored on there (my dad has it know) it was so much quiter and more peaceful after the speed reduction.
  8. Nice pic's, does Andy work with you a lot??
  9. Yeah I heard the reports of this on Radio4 last week, very sad.
  10. If its on a chipper, they tend to do that, my Chippit 25 did it from new when you knocked the rev's down, apparently its the flywheel pushing the engine round.
  11. It looks like most of the chip misses the pickup from that pic
  12. I was enjoying that until the MEWP basket came into view, I then turned it off.
  13. Good point!!! In fact why not get the police to plant evidence when they know the person is a wrong-un That way we can get all the scum locked up!!! After all we know that the police are 100% straight and none of them ever break the law
  14. Depends how much work you have, if things are quiet its better pending time rather than money. Also if your doing fire wood its going to be rung up when you get it back to the yard anyway, so ringing up on site is no loss.
  15. Erm, yes when his in in meetings with his co-accused listening to the defense strategy, I would call that a pretty big deal personally, other wise whats the point of client confidentiality and the right to remain silent????????
  16. TBH, many don't and many of those that do only do so because they will find themselves in more trouble than the criminal if they sort things them selves. Its a sad truth that these days the police seem pretty in effective when they are really needed, but very much on the ball when the ordinary guy makes an error.
  17. It would be the fault of the person who broke in and took the saws and committed the crime, plain and simple. I really hate all this blame shifting, a violent person will use what ever is at hand and blaming others for having tools around is nonsense, IMO. Lets face it the biggest cause of deaths in this country is the motor car, maybe anyone found in possession of one should be stopped and have it confiscated??
  18. Indeed, but surely there would be arrests!!!! Thats the point, there weren't any
