  1. Spot on!!!! I get sick of reading on here how "dangerous" our job is and people talk about wanting danger money:001_rolleyes: and "putting their lives on the line , we should be charging for our skill, that should make the job safer .
  2. Its nothing to do with how long you have been trading, you could in theory start up and become accredited on the same day if you have every thing in place.

    Interesting stuff Reg, thats the best explanation I have heard as too why it works I'm still struggling to understand why it makes a difference though?? The two surfaces meet which ever way up the cut is, the energy will be the same in both cuts, I'm just trying to work out why which surface is on the moving piece makes a difference?? I will have to give it a try. Thanks for taking the time

    The gob is the same size, its just upside down, the two faces meeting are what cause the hinge to break.

    How does that work?? Surely the gob is just clearance that allows the hinge to work??

  10. Its just unpleasant working in the rain, you either get wet or sweat horrible in waterproofs:thumbdown: The wind blows stuff where you don't want it. And people don't want you tramping over their lawn when it sopping wet. Why don't you see people on the beech when its raining???????

  15. VOSA will not look at your insurance to decide whether its a tractor or not. And if they do decide its not a tractor at least you will be insured, so thats one less offense committed.

    Its a simple pulley setup that gives you a 5 to 1 mechanical advantage.

  20. That sound very good, however does any one have any experience of making a claim from them?? The NFU are certainly not the cheapest, but IME they are by far the best insurance Co when it comes to making a claim and getting things sorted quickly.
