  1. Unfortunately I have had similar experiences and worse, my friend was stitched up and spent 9months on remand and 2 miss trials before being released with no compensation, he intended to sue the police but was advised that if he did they would make his life a living hell:thumbdown: I have also met some outstanding officers and had help from them on occasion.
  2. I think your 66 needs a sharpen or a retune.
  3. Just remove your current chain and count the drive links
  4. OK just checked, a 14" 201t chain is 50 drive links, a 14" 540t chain is 52 drive links.
  5. Well one of my neighbours saw another neighbours house being broken into, they rang the police, they could not attend, so asked him to watch and take down descriptions of the intruders.
  6. It will IMO have happened, it all well and good to say the police will see through it and not attend, but all 999 call are recored, can you imagine the fallout if the police did not attend ASAP and it was true!!!
  7. And will, IMO, be based on fact at some time.
  8. Why would they need caller ID??? No one said it was a legal firearm.
  9. Always wondered what PTFE stood for, now I know
  10. If your a member you don't pay, you've already paid.
  11. But if you think about it any one "ram raiding" a door has no idea whats behind it, there could be a forklift or any other immovable object, to suggest that could constitute "attempted manslaughter" is IMO utterly ridiculous.
  12. I've just a call from one of the guys at the LA, to see if I'm available if needed over the next few days, I've made no promises, but said I'll help if I can.
  13. I've wanted a full chisel chain for my 020 for years, I used the stihl full chisel since it was released and really like it, makes for a much faster cut, IMO.
  14. I have a friend who was a snap-on guy, after repeated robberies, he told the attending officer he was going to buy a gun, the officers advice was "shoot to kill, then theres only one side to the story".
  15. I think you need 2 extra links, but I'm not certain, hopefully those in the know will be along soon to clarify. If they don't I'll nip out to the container and compare a 14" for the 201 with one for the 540, as I'm sure I have both in stores.
  16. Bought from Dick Leigh, its just a standard 201t chain, (you will need a longer chain for a 540t for the same bar length than on the 201t)
  17. Exactly!! For me its a simple matter of supply and demand, the firefighters strike a few years back was about wanting more pay, they were upset that tube drivers were on £34K and they were on under £25K, BUT the pay for tube drivers had risen in order to attract enough staff. There is no shortage of people wanting to join the brigade on the current rates, so what possible justification is there for higher rates? It could be argued that rates should be dropped until only the required numbers apply, as happens in the real economy to those who run their own business.
  18. I've left it on tick over for long periods, with no issue other than fuel usage.
  19. Since fitting my 540 with a full chisel chain I'm really starting to like it, it seems very firsty, appears to use a lot of fuel when left on tick over. Or maybe the tank is just too small.
  20. That suit is outstanding Justin, I have a mate who would kill for that!!!
