  1. If your having to chog down a huge stem, go down the stem and cut slots with a smaller saw for every chog your going cut, then go back to the top and get the 88 sent up.
  2. Never heard that one, mind my motors are aways taxed, so not really an issue. Many, many years ago I ran an old mini for a couple of weeks after the tax had run out, a copper stopped me and said I would be reported to the DVLA, so I took it off the road and sent the DVLA a cheque for two weeks tax, they retuned the cheque and said I need to pay a full month, I never sent them another cheque and never heard from them again.
  3. Another outstanding contribution as always.
  4. Where have you heard some will?? No MOT means the vehicle may not be road worthy so its a condition of insurance to have MOT, how would no tax affect the insurer, what if you SORN the car but keep it insured???
  5. You still need to register annually.
  6. Who mentioned soft wood? I said coal Sure as luxury fuel to great atmosphere its great, but I would not want to be buying the amount needed to heat a home.
  7. Yes, but what I said was more that twice £100 per tonne, as was posted earlier, dry hard wood is under half a tonne per cube.
  8. Personally I would not pay that, I'd buy coal first, it would work out cheaper. I have no idea how people can afford to heat their homes buying hard wood. A mate of mine sells logs, but heats his house with coal, it makes sense for him to sell his logs and buy coal.
  9. They are fetching way more than that already, in fact many are charging well over double.
  10. What size material are you wanting to chip?
  11. Are you talking unprocessed timber?
  12. I think he may be wanting to chip brash, I presume he wants the fire wood.
  13. Jensen tracked woodchipper ArbTrader Arborists Classifieds
  14. That should defiantly work!!!
  15. I detest the term "surgeon" when applied to us
  16. Fair does, but thats not really the way Fen who asked the question will be operating.
  17. I don't wish to. I don't feel I am so important that anything that causes me inconvenience must die. I try to show tolerance to those with whom I share the planet. I have dogs, they bark from time to time, my neighbours tolerate that, I tolerate them having parties from time to time and they do the same for me. I believe its called "live and let live" If peoples cats coming into my garden caused me real issues I would fence my garden to keep them out.
  18. Should I shoot the birds that crap on my patio and the badgers that dig up my land??
  19. A big grab is good, but it can dramatically reduce your lifting capacity, I prefer a smaller grab and simply use a strop on the very large logs.
  20. Make the transaction at the end of a month.
  21. Cats are assisting evolution, only the smarter, faster birds survive and breed, so we end up with faster, smarter birds, survival of the fittest etc.
