  1. How do you know??? Never seen it myself:sneaky2:
  2. That only because she has not worked out how to post pictures
  3. I would have no interest in knowing the ins and outs of the disagreement, from either side. I would simply tell the client that I would need to speak to the neighbour before putting anything back over the fence. I've done loads of jobs like this over the years, generally if you just go and speak with the neighbour, explaining you are simply wishing to carry out the required work with the least inconvenience for all concerned, they see sense and let you get on.
  4. How so if its untrue???
  5. Yes. The Company is required to keep accurate records of who was driving the vehicle on any given day. For all intents and purposes, the Court will expect an on going log to be maintained detailing the identity of all users of the vehicle at any specific time. Failure to be able to supply this information will probably result in conviction. It is not a defence to say that it is a "pool" car and that anybody could have been driving it at the time, unless you have an exceptional case. Taken from here Failing to Identify Driver | Notice of Intended Prosecution
  6. No you can't, they are no longer taking orders.
  7. This is also my understanding.
  8. 6 to 8 weeks!!!?? I don't think you need to worry if they are taking so long, you should simply point out they are far to late. Should take 14 day, can be longer if its not easy for them to establish who is the owner, but no magistrate in the country would consider 6 to 8 weeks a reasonable timescale, IMHO.
  9. Not really, points go on the driver licence, not the owners.
  10. I did not say they made the rules, I simply pointed out that not only do the EA do little dredging, they also prevent private agents from dredging.
  11. I think you need to re-read my post, see below.
  12. Bugger!!!!
  13. Cough, cough:sneaky2:
  14. With the crane?
  15. Maintenance on ‘main rivers’ You don’t need permission from EA to: remove in-stream debris and rubbish undertake minor tree works - you can cut back trees and other vegetation, and remove fallen trees trim grass/vegetation on the banks and in the channel You may require permission to: remove silt and gravel from in channel re-profile the watercourse banks make the watercourse deeper or wider spread material on top of the bank or nearby carry out maintenance works to structures in, over or under a main river or a flood defence Before you start work on or near a ‘main river’ you should submit your plans to EA and apply for a Flood Defence Consent. The above is taken from here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/river-maintenance-and-drainage-charges-farmers-and-landowners
  16. They are the ones who prevent it, they stop landowners from dredging their own stretches of river
  17. When will the idiots in charge accept that dredging is at least part of the solution to these problems, its just common sense, if the gap under the bridge is reduced by silt the volume of water that can pass under is by definition reduced.
  18. Does it still empty properly???
  19. I prefer to go early marmalade.
  20. The sad thing about such scams (which do go on) is that it makes us all very suspicious of people genuinely in need.
  21. Kinda like "cash back" I guess.
  22. Not the last two year.
  23. To be honest its bloody good firewood, I would take any I was offered, it dries well in the round too, I love the stuff!!!
  24.
