I wouldnt bother trying to do training yourself, you might pick up bad habits, they will teach you to pass a test. When I did mine, I had one days training then the test the morning after, it was easy, just listen and you'll piss it!

Ahhhh you didnt say for use in a tree haha I rarely climb mate so I can't comment, biggest thing I ever used in it a tree was a 460 and that was about 4 years ago. If its occasional use in a tree then like Matt says, it will do it, I've used a 395 and a 660 with a 3ft a few times for felling and even tho it did the job, I was wishing i had an 88 BUT in a tree I suppose you would need a slightly lighter saw haha

I wouldn't run a 3ft bar on a 660, I think it's too big. I know people do but for me, it lacks the balls for it. If I needed a 3ft bar I'd be getting an 88 to run it. Job done, plus should you ever need a bigger bar, your sorted coz the power unit will run it.

Get a 25 inch bar on it, we had one on ours before it broke last year, was a animal of a saw 😄😄

Be prepared also for offers of below 70, you might only get offered 50 but with the way the world is at the mo, it could be a good foot in the door somewhere and you might have to start very low and prove yourself.

I'd say about 70 until you get more experience. Everyone's got to start somewhere and just because you'll have the tickets won't mean you can command top dollar straight away, if you manage to get a job with a good company I'd take whatever they off and Graft and learn and work your way up the ladder
