  1. The difference being that the European migrants are in Sweden to work. The asylum seekers are there to do precious little. It's a shame but it really is the case. I don't think Sweden will be as candid as Norway where the crime rates and employment statistics of various ethnic groups are in the public domain.
  2. Sweden needs all the workers it can get. Try getting a tradesman to do anything near a population center and I think you might have different ideas. Stockholm,Göteburg,Lund,Malmö, kin anywhere your going to struggle getting a reputable Swedish tradie. Unless you want to hire "Blocket Hassan" and pay him reddies.
  3. Don't you live in Sweden's "empty quarter" J ?. What's the population density in the kommune you call home?
  4. Most Norwegian fishing boats have their own dock, they may meet a factory ship at sea or drop into many of the fish factories along the coast. I have never heard anywhere being described as a " main fishing harbour". Where did you visit?
  5. You sound like you are to stupid to agree with me. How can I ban you?
  6. EU membership would gut the fishing industry as you mentioned. Also the timber and Agricultural sectors. For all intents and purposes Norway is in the EU,free trade, freedom of movement etc. However instead of marching to the drum of what is effectively the fourth Reich,Norway has the economic muscle to hold its own. The British people voted leave, could J vote in that referendum or not? Are you a British Citizen J? Champagne socialists like Blair/Starmer/Trudeau/ Arden can't except any contrary opinion other than their own ideals, even when the people choose thus in a fair and free election. Usually choosing to slink away before they are voted out. Curiously Arden is on her way to the UK for a new tenure spouting idealist drivel to the sons and daughters of successful liberals at Cambridge.
  7. You live in Sweden and are German are you not? Are you integrated yourself since your still pretending to be English?
  8. That's a shame. I have been managing to work worldwide on a Kiwi passport for nearly 30 years. I have no right to work anywhere , it takes planning and patience but in business that's a strong trait. Still plenty of English lads in Sweden/DE/CH/NO from what I see on the socials.
  9. The rollers are controlled by the 12V solenoid on the valve block. There is a 12v constant supply when the rpm is over the set amount. Two wires run from the solenoid to the circuit board, these steer the solenoid by cutting the power and stopping the rollers when the rpm drops below a set amount. The rpm is counted by the sensor picking up the spokes of the pulley, the gap between the end of the sensor and a spoke should be about the width of a pound coin. To check sensor function turn the ignition to on,have someone rotate the pulley past the sensor and observe the light on the circuit board illuminate when a spoke passes it,then blink off. Check continuity in the wires running back to the control box. You say that after an hour the problem starts, could be the solenoid but they are generally very reliable. Failing that, remove the circuit board for a look at the back of it. Look for burnt spots or even slight discolouration . Post up a picture of the circuit board, make sure you take a picture of what order the wires go.
  10. Anyone three degrees east of Magnetic North is " far right" these days.
  11. You sound exactly the kind of tyre kicker who is quickly blocked by sellers over a myriad of sales platforms. How often does your strategy play out in your favour?
  12. No But for lowering that setup looks pants,
  13. I think the price is fair honestly. Guess the market will decide?
  14. Plug the screw holes and put the rack on Ebay? I have a mate who gets warped planks from me,cuts holes for tea lights, sands and oils them and puts them in a designer furniture shop for £350! Unique, sustainable, locally sourced etc
  15. Once I was on a job taking down some dead cottonwoods at a fishing camp in Alaska. They were huge and dead,no bark and hollow, proper "Ghost Tree's". Anyhow, one of them had what was left of its crown over some buildings, we couldn't lower them off and the gear we had was limited to what we could fit in the sea plane we flew out in. I tied my climbing line as high as I could, the lowering rope was attached to the end of that and tied to the davitts on a jet boat in the river. I put my gob in as the boat did its best to stay still holding the line taught cringing at the sight of a cavity where the gob was,I had just started the back cut when Billy bob gave that 454 Big block half a gallon of freedom fluid and the top 40 feet flew into the willows like a giant dart. On those trees you could feel bits hitting the ground inside the tree as they fell down the hollow trunk. Follow me for more safe work practices.
  16. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen honestly. Either by falling off your harness and smashing something/someone or by going through the chipper.
  17. Khris once pull started a Chinook
  18. It's more akin to the Gestapo getting let off providing they learn Hebrew.
  19. Looks rotten as fook. It's a tree gents, when people get teary at my Felling old sticks, I ask them if they would accept personal liability for any damages if we retained it? Ps,It was Bolam & his groundy Ezrah , a famous deep water Jew.
  20. Different strokes for different folks. .22 Hornet is as quiet as anything if moderated ,very cheap to reload for and bloody accurate. You cant really compare it to a 223,that would be like comparing a mini cooper to a Ford Mustang. If you want somthing even more obscure, try a 218 Bee or 219 Donaldson wasp. I had a .218 in a Martini Cadet action, cool little gun.I had it chambered in .218 because it was originally .222 rimmed and it ran out of barrel threads after cutting the chamber off. If you reload ,then you may as well get something fun. Brass lasts for ever and everthing else is the same as .22 hornet.
  21. Paint it with Hammerite ,this with make it last longer.
  22. You may be able to press out the upper feed roller shaft but probably wont. Cut it off at the roller, bore out the shaft then wash the remainder out with a gas torch.Or buy a new roller and shaft. Tie the lower roller shaft up to support it ,remove the gearbox, remove the plate under the roller, unbolt the bearing from the side of the feed aperature, lower the roller and shaft down. When you reinstall make sure you index the roller teeth ,point to valley or you will trash your rollers.
  23. Yes I know all of them. Your name is also on my little list. * sound of pencil breaking*
  24. Imagine if all the Trumph haters had spent as much time investigating Tony Blair as they had slinging shite at Donald.
