  1. Then Starmer should stand up and say so. " These horrendous crimes will be investigated to the fullest extent, using resources from outside the respective police districts. While we acknowledge rape and sexual abuse is perpetrated by all ethnicity's we have been presented with a horrific history of generational abuse and police neglect ". That's it's,the eyes of the world are upon him. This is no time for " whataboutery" You either support Paedophilia or you condem it. Where do you stand Steven?
  2. Have a listen to the victims statements Steven, even on censored platforms like insta, they are universally Asian attackers. This isn't really political, it's criminal quite literally. I would have thought Starmer would welcome an independent investigation into the handling of this atrocity, where by he could prove his innocence and discredit the opposition? Musk should be free to say what he pleases.
  3. Cold but clear ,Fjord has frozen ice fishing ahoy!
  4. The left's tendency to ban any form of free speech contrary to their own agenda is absolutely typical of their head in the sand policy. Imagine the white hot outrage if the grooming gangs were whites raping minorities ? There would be no end to the witch hunt.
  5. Regarding the fires in LA. CalFire the statewide body responsible for wild land fire fighting had is budget cut by 80%,there hasnt been any meaningful programs to reduce the amount of fuel in the canyons close to residential housing since the 70s,houses were built far from fire hydrants along with insufficient water pressure to lift the water up to where its needed. Watched the BBC interview an Australian wild land fire fighting expert who by the sounds of things has never been to California because he couldnt pronounce the place names. His conclusion to decades of forest neglect and bad residential planning. Climate Change. What a Tosser.
  6. Pay me for my time in exchange for your data.
  7. Shall I ask Khris? Anyhow, didnt the old Vermeer 625 have the engine and cutting unit above the deck of the chipper? ie all bolted to the flat surface and nothing hanging down? I bought one years ago for a project but didnt get around to doing anything with it. I suppose you could cut off the axel, drawbar and build a subframe with fork slots and legs for it to stand on? Being aircooled will cut down a bit of weight.
  8. I think command detonation would go much further honestly .
  9. I wear latex gloves under my regular work gloves in the wet and cold. Swapping my wet gloves for dry ones throughout the day.
  10. I think that is a great idea. Sadly there are three things that prevent this gaining traction. 1) The general public and their love of Bambi. 2) The government dosnt support the private ownership of firearms. 3) Stalkers themselves who won't support new people incase they themselves loose stalking grounds. Possibly a fouth with Private land owners not allowing the public or persons unknown onto their land. You have to hit everywhere or sanctuaries are created that hold animals. I used to cull in forests back home and the best approach is constant even pressure. Although the general public could shoot the forests, then generally only went after the easy animals, but at least it kept them off the roads.
  11. Buy/borrow a 36" bar, buck it off the root plate like Rich sayes. Then rip it into quarters even if your going to mill it. Slabs the full width would be heavy at even an inch thick. If you want to mill it quarter sawn beech makes the most of am otherwise pretty boring timber.
  12. Yeah that Kynoch would be dear. Your mate with the No4 won't hurt it putting cordite through it,he probably just got confused as to why not. His bore is more at risk from the corrosive primers if he dosnt rinse it with boiling water after shooting old ex mil ammo.
  13. Not on this one unfortunately.
  14. 215 grain round nose. Norma used to make them but now only Woodleigh does and their factory burned down. 180 grainers with a flat base would also be ok. This Rifle has Whitworth rifling and been fed a diet of cordite charged rounds. Cordite burns hot and Whitworth rifling has sharper lands so the throat is slightly eroded. Flat based bullets will obturate into the rifling a little bit, boat tails allow some of the gas to wash around the projectile and buffet it,not great for accuracy.
  15. I have put my prices for domestic up alot as well as charging for quotes outside of where I want to work. No one has taken me up on the "£100 refundable at sale " condition of an out of town quote. Repeat customers I will quote for out of town but not new ones. Easy to waste 2.5 hours or more. The real money is in commercial here.
  16. In theory that would work. But to drop the impact 12" would reduce the velocity enough for it to be inhumane and probably below the required velocity for the bullets to expand significantly. Also accuracy could be total pants. The 174grn service bullets are 30% lighter than what this Rifle was ment for.
  17. Yeah that's the thing with Co2. If you change your mind about continuing shooting 5 shots into a canister, you waste the whole thing anyhow. I had a Co2 revolver as a kid,it always ran out/ was out of gas when I wanted to use it. Anyhoo here is my Lee Speed in 303 brit, bore is a bit shabby and shooting ammo made for Browning Aircraft MG's isn't the best but here is 8 shot offhand at 100m. I need to fi d some heavier bullets because it shoots awfully high.
  18. Pikeys drive nice wagons because it adds a air of credibility. If your chasing top dollar you have to look like you are making it too. Peoples perception of value is weird. If I rolled up with four blokes, did a big section fell and biffed it all into a skip in a day for £5K+vat the likelihood of the customer moaning would be high. If I drop the Valtra off the night before, turn up in the mog,use the crane driver to unhook and I snedd for 20 minutes before chipping it all into the skip, load the wood on top and call the skip company for an early Finnish I haven't had anyone moan when they see all that kit. Even though it cost me less than hiring three subbies for the day.
  19. It is a hard question to answer but here is what worked for me. The big trees and gardens where I work are in the posh areas, the rest of the work was all over the place. I would take the flash motor to the posh places and a little run about everywhere else. Most of the posh gaffs I would park right in front of the house, the everyday places on the road so they wouldn't see the quoting car anyhow.
  20. As unpopular as this might sound... If we as Arborists all drove nicer wagons,I think the public would take us more seriously thus we could charge more.
  21. I'm not. I was born in Lincoln New Zealand
  22. Time for a yarn. I arrived in Norway with an 084 and 10kg of protein powder. I had to declare the saw and pay duty since I bought it for the company. Took the red lane and to the custom agents delight was a foreigner. They swabbed the protein powder but the machine wouldn't work. So they punctured a bag and offered it to the drug dog who gulped it down I nearly fell over laughing as the nog dog handler went ballistic over his dog eating choccy protein powder. Still got the saw.
  23. I have flown with saws both new and used plenty of times. Drain tanks, protect bucking spikes, check in as normal luggage. End of.
  24. America win the "Space Race" after something is won,why do it again? Anyhow America was busy doing advanced landscaping in Vietnam at the time which cost huge amounts of money.
  25. Yes
