I have seen all the life jackets donated to the Red Cross. The former state oil company stepped up with some barely used ones. These will be distributed to the faciliators in france along with pre payed phones for the migrants. It's not much but if it saves just one life it's worth it.

We should. Alot of these immigrants have the kind of fiber the majority of British young people lack. Pluck,courage,determination in the face of adversity. Boats full of the very minerals that endeared Brown Bear Grylls and Ranulph Fiennes to the British public.

So you have dodged my question twice. In their position,with scant resources would you. A: put yourself in another precarious position by stopping in the next stable country. B: Try for the best option possible.

I am not Norwegian I guess thats why? What would you do with your $5000? If thats all you had? I guess I could frame this another way,if you lost the job you are on tomorrow.Say if the company goes pop,would you look for another job at the same or greater payrate and position or work at your local dive shop filling tanks and fixing regulators? Jobs a job after all no?

Depends There are plenty of refugees in every country on the way to the UK,We even had Syrian's peddling over the Russian border into Finmark on childs bicycles.The system caters for the refugees is designed to weed out the ones that lack genuine reason to stay,do you think the government wants to get mugged off? If you were in their position what would you do? You have $5000,its all you have to start a new life.Settle in the next toilet of a land that lacks the rule of law,or go as far as your money will take in in search of a better life.Genuine question by the way.

It's not really like that. They go as far as their money will take them in order to get the most out of it. Which has good and bad points. They could go to the next country which is slightly less shit but likely to turn as shit as where they came from pretty soon. Or bet the farm on a better option. I would do the same. Shows pluck and courage.

I read that there will be 600,000 legal migrants into the UK this year. Which is funny since the UK colonized half the globe and now the globe in colonizing the UK. Add to that the 5000000 unemployed,its all going a bit pear shaped in Blighty it seems.

Can anyone remember the tree officer for Bromley in London who honestly looked like Swiss Toni? Hair all done up,shiney suit and leather soled shoes. I remember him dashing into a Garden where we about to fell a tree screaming "if you fell that I'll fine you". One of my groundies said "Felling Trees is much like making love to a beautiful woman" the home owner just creased up. -

Are you not confusing Agriculture and Horticulture? You sound like you need a break,Tesco's might be interested in your skills? You could hover around the fruit and veg telling everyone how hard they are to grow. -
I don't have many photos if felling jobs here. The steep ones are when you have to leave high stumps to stop the logs free falling sideways.

Maybe the photo dosnt do it justice? I don't know,it's hard to not sound like an arse but I wouldn't call it steep from the pictures. My opinion of your sites doesn't matter anyhow,because I am not there.

I do not understand the allure of those asthmatic air cooled shit boxes. They are the only wagons I will never help out if I see one broken down. My Father used to call them " Hitlers revenge on the world".
