    Descenders

you could use your hitch and set it up like the F8 revolver way, it works surprisingly well.
  2. im gunna look at getting some sewn rather than spliced and see what this does to the setup
  3. Treetools: essential gear for tree workers
  4. The cinch is actually designed to be used on the left i think, its the twist that incurs when you use it on the left that makes it run more fluid.
  5. theres some more vids from the masters i think up now
  6. yep, pre climb inspection.
  7. nah wich is back on the tools bro, there is no safety role anymore which is a bad move i believe. The name tony bennett doesnt ring any bells sorry, who/where did you work with the 'scrape?
  8. the plungers it is bro
  9. ya got me:sneaky2:
  10. sure do mark, they block the view ya see.................
  11. and we lost 2 points because- the boys dropped one of the logs down the crater rim and it rolled/flew about 50m and stopped on a small wooden fence. if it hadnt it would of gone another 200m down. but at least the bloke had packed his camera away by then
  12. It does when the job is priced per hour:001_tt2:
  13. we took the big shot but tbh found it a bit useless. using 10oz weights and 1.75mm zingit on a 6ft extension we could only fire 20m. the first branchs were exactly 90ft as thats what we ended up throwing to(my throwlines are 180ft). Had some very cool transfers and big swings and beers at the top:001_smile:
  14. Cheers David, it was real good fun but getting a line up was a hassle but got there in the end, good job we took 3 throwlines!. No idea what gum species bro sorry. and yeah adam it is-too early to say though, not holding my breath on anything major.

  16. the tree was sweet but the stem we removed had a big crack that was pretty new so was justified in removal.
  17. A couple of gums we climbed and measured on the weekend, 55m tall but we spotted a bigger one as we left (the last pic), so we will have to go back:001_smile:

    Throw line.

mate at work has one-it grabs the throwline and traces it back into your cube via 2 little grab wheels. works well but its a bit of an overkill i reckon. if its the same thing that is

    Bowline Redi

It is clipped into the bowline, that loop is the tail. never listen to ross-he has trouble walking forwards some days. Tried yesterday up a 55m gum and it works sweet but is a bit of a kafuffle setting it up so that you dont run out of rope. different trix for diff places......
  20. i had my klima airs resoled 3 or 4 times with no problems and a guy at work has his hiax done and again no probs. all with stitched vibram soles, proper old skool cobbler though.

  25. surely getting at least 3 broke tested and taking the average, able to explain why a certain style of splice has been used, what can loosen the splice-eg side loads would these criteria show competence?
