    crane pic

yeah thats the normal cut for crane pics-what i did was just a lazy cut. cut was supposed to match up perfectly but didnt, dog man was happy to just pull it away so i didnt recut.
  4. if i was kitting myself out today ( with a decent budget of course) id get--- Treemotion Cinch with a dynamic lanyard. adjustable cambium saver HC+hitch cord 45m rope + 30m rope Blue Tongue/Arrow Frog a load of carabiners+1 revolver DMM Pinto Teufelberger multisling ISC zk 2 Kong Futura hand ascender Petzl pantin spare hitch cord. i think that lot would allow for most DbRT and SRT set ups to be run pretty fluidly.
  5. nah its okay, ill jus' climb instead
  6. when is a polesaw needed in a tree? apart from doing line clearance?
  7. Dont think it does at the ITCC Peter.
  8. Yeah I don't really get it on srt- drt I totally get the advantage but not on srt.
  9. Get hold of the tcia book bro- great reference material to have in the work truck. Try and go on some of the rec climbs that get organised on here- climbing for fun is a lot easier to learn a a new technique rather than in a work situation.
  10. Yeah bro:) predictive just makes it more fun to try and work out what I meant..
  11. There both great techniques. It's not really a case of vs. getting hold of the tcia best practice to srt and Jeff jepsons 'tree climbers companion' and also treemagineers ' hitch climbers guide to the canopy '. Combined these books answer a lot and explain a load. But ultimately, climbing with people well versed at both is the only way to answer your question bro.

Yeah I was looking away for a couple of secs so edited it out- I could of been a lot cheekier and edited the whole thing so that chainsaw cut=wood in air straight away but thought I'd try and be at least a little bit honest..
