  11. i used to do work for the national trust and we used to fly fencing and heather bales out onto the moor and usually 1 of us would be responsible for connecting each load to the helicopter and the other one would ride in chopper giving directions and one guy in particular thought he was in vietnam or thought it would be funny putting it through its paces awesome after my first couple of hours i asked him if he could really show me what it could do His face was a picture:scared1:

  19. bob

    Thanks!

I attended 3 talks and i would of liked to attend 2 others but sadly missed them due to either not hearing the announcements or just been too busy looking at other things. I did like this year everything been a bit more central I was supprised how few folk attended the talks compared to the trevolution demos so possibly some talks been a bit more hands on and outside may have drawn a bigger crowd although i do agree with high scale there was a lot of noise from adjoining tents that made listening awkward
  20. practicing rescue is actually a h&s recomendation and should be undertaken and should be in your risk assessment and tbh 1 day per year actually benefits productivity as well as safety you should make time and then you could maybe share the climbing with your groundie or at least have faith that a rescue could happen You would be surprised how much work work we at our LA turn out compared to little self employed tree bods The point i was making is that we have swapped around pre booked work for productivity and responsability:001_tongue:
  21. can not comment on your work as dont know what your doing we did a few jobs that needed doing then went onto doing epicormics and re tying street tree standards tomorrow we are having a day doing rescue and trying new bits of kit and bringing on new boys so we wont be in full sun and no need to wear type C trousers when i came down from trees today i just took 10 mins out sat in shade and put shorts on no problemo but having said that i do not suffer from your heat stroke so can not comment on your symptoms is it worth seeing a doctor as i have never met anyone that winges as much as you:blushing:
  22. would be handy for dropping all the stuff at deans yard without leaving tyre marks or been caught on cctv:001_smile:
  23. but surely the risk assessment should not say its too hot today to wear protective trousers at the top of a tree so i will wear jeans should you not do something else instead when you do not climb if it,s raining why not buy some waterproofs:001_smile:
