    Probably all of the above... Just frustrating you advise a client to do works you are pretty sure will get permission, pencil in works for 9 weeks, then get too due date from when the 1 App was made, have to chase to try and get a decision and find they have moved the goal posts. They also expect us to put up the notices on the street.

    Just ranting in frustration... I put the application via 1app on the 25th of March and so the application should have by my reckoning been decided by Monday the 20th of May. However the council did not register it until the 10th of April.. Two and a half weeks later... The council expect to have a decision on the 10th of June. Even though 8 weeks from the 10th of April is the 5th of June... Why does it take 11 weeks to decide if we can sensitively reduce a tree or not... ?

    I don't think it was a hole.. "scraped around 50mm off the entire site." Cellular confinement systems with no dig might have been used before the damage to install a drive over RPA but remediation would involve removing concrete without having plant travelling on the RPA and decompact/mulch..

    I have been quoted just under a £1000 to paint each truck or £300 ish to wrap... We have a compressor and spray gun, tempted to go down the diy route...

    I have to admit I was surprised permission was granted for the removal.. I am not sure the lpa have a TO in post at the moment. I am pretty sure the old one would have insisted on retaining the tree. It is structurally sound and was there before the wall.. Piles and beams would be my solution but interested if anyone had others views. In the end it will probably come down to £.. and removal likely to be cheaper in long run..

    The Barrell Tree Consultancy Guidance Notes are a great resource. But this is a big wall and significant movement..

    Any engineering solutions so we can save the tree. Big beech tree with TPO. It is in a conservation area and the wall needs to be rebuilt looking the same.. Cannot move the wall. The tree trunk is not in direct contact with wall. But the cracks are affecting 4-5m in the walls length. The brick part is only 19 years old built on sandstone that was probably put down in the 1850's. Consent has been given to remove the tree but one of the residents is keen to retain it if we can come up with an engineering solution that will last. A structural engineer is having a look but in my experience they tend to look at the simplest method, which is obviously to remove the tree and rebuild the wall. My idea is to use piles and beams and to leave a good gap around the trunk. Can you build flexible walls..

    Cheers, it looks like you have had sign writing printed onto boards still. I was hoping to sign write directly onto the sides...

    Anyone any experience painting aluminium panels before signwriting? Can you cheaply apply and get an OK finish, that the signwriting will stick too. We have in the past attached boards or direct wrapping..

    He has yet to respond... 're video.. I know the client socially and enough to have a joke.. I am trying to help him out but you know some people's expectations..

    I have a client with 2 redwoods 25-30m, one has been dead 7 + years the other died this year. We could get it roadside in 3m or 5m lengths. In 15 years I have yet to sell any arisings for anything other than logs or biomass.. Is there any value more than £23 a ton for biomass? The client thinks it must be worth £1000's. I have sent him the black walnut video...

    Have you had someone to quote? If you value your time you may find that paying someone to come in and chip is actually very good value, when compared to numerous tip trips.

    A few people want these logs is anyone willing to pay for them..? Open to offers...

    Another non-commercial system, but it is ok for filling a barrow at a time and your less likely to lose fingers, especially if you use a lump hammer.
