Okay, there are several different types of tracker, but remember that space is limited on a chipper and try to hide it with steel and you create a "faradays cage" in which the transmitted signal cannot get out. Another thought is that, if its pinched on a friday night, the low lifes have all weekend to look for it and drop it in water. The best plan is prevention. We had a demonstration machine shipped to Ireland, the port authorities refused to let it on the boat because the paperwork did not include the bumpf from "Thiefbeaters".

Thanks guys. Years ago I tried Reiki, or hands on healing. Don't know it works, but it certainly did. I'm a bit of a cynic to alternative therapy but I can confirm that ordinary painkillers have little or no effect, and the anti-inflam stuff gives me the gripes right bad. Wine and sleep are the best healers, gently exercise is also a must. Have a good weekend all.

We're launching a new machine next week and I'm laid up with a really painful back ache. Loads of visitors to the factory on Monday and Tuesday, a meal and beer on Monday evening. A trip on a steam train, various machines being shown off and I'm as weak as a kitten, and I'm supposed to be demonstrating and because I know most of the visitors, I meant to be there with a smile on my face and full of humour!!! I can feel a short week looming.

All chippers should have pretty well the same stickers. The only difference should really be that (for example) GreenMech have mechanical controls yet the TW has electrical controls. Try ringing Dave Turner at GreenMech and asking how much a set is for a GreenMech as a comparison. You might find that the stickers for safe use and correct maintanence are similar.

I have a routine when leaving house. Fags, lighter, glasses, money, keys (house and car), phone (charged spare phone) coat, jumper and work plan. Everything else should be ready already.

I see that Landforce are still being marketed. I thought that Duncan Wordsworth of Barford Holdings had decided that he couldn't be bothered any more and scrapped the remaining few or did Tony Castle pick them up and make a go of it. I wonder how many a year they make compared with the others and more importantly, has the disatrous build quality and service/support been improved?

I once got asked to recover an old GreenMech 8 inch from a Fountains yard in west Wales. They had rolled it down a road, thro a stone wall and wrought iron fence. I took the infeed flap off, changed a wheel and adjusted the defective brakes and towed it to the factory on the back of a Mondeo.

Try the GreenMech 1928. 7x11 oriface, 50 horse engine and built to last. So many people are missing out on a right good tool.

If I were to be un PC. If there is such thing as a second time around, I'll be back as a lady lawyer, your sat on a fortune and get paid a fortune to boot. Yes, from every dealing that I've had with the legal team, wether it be divorce or conveyancing of a house, they charge way over the odds for prescious little risk of loosing any blood, sweat or tears. Even if you loose, they win.

I understood from Radio 4 this morning that Navara and Rodeo were okay under the commercial rating but the domestic rating was 1 star. The worry was that more people are using these cars as their domestic ride and not as a tow tug/works vehicle. The Navara can have a software update tho. Why the domestic car rating is different to a works tug is different they did not say. One simple answer is drive aware and cut down the risks of an accident.

If you've got a chipper, run a suplimentary circuit off the roller feed/return. You've already got most of the kit there! Big engine (diesel) hydraulic flow and directional valve!
