  1. Morning Team, slept badly and feel pretty rough! More phone work and job hunting - something will come along eventually. Wench sent me details for Elf's in Santa's grotto in Meadowhall at Christmas! Be safe y'all. Dump, Pert, Ruck.
  2. Took a load of old paperwork to tip yesterday and someone had decided to go digital and launched their adult art collection in the recycling skip!
  3. I had a de-clutter recently to do loft insulation and got gritty and determined with the stacks of old car magazines. Classic and Sports Car, Land-rover Owner, volksworld, Practical Performance Car, Popular Classics, Custom Car, American Motors, Retro Ford to name a few titles. Dies anyone want to make a bid? I'm told that they can fetch some money if advertised in the right way but I cba'ed. The picture shows the largest quantity - Classic and Sports Car, possibly 20 years worth!
  4. Has showered here and is looking autumnal. I'm off to some show at NEC as a job seeker, a recycling and waste show. No doubt that the NEC will have a shocking car park fee..... Be good y'all! Mao, thwart, earing.
  5. RIP Robert Redford.
  6. Got to admit Mick, I was a good "brash rat" and enjoyed that menial work and it gave someone a break as well showing them the standard I wanted stuff left like! Good for the tummy muscles too!
  7. Ugh, been awake for a while. Seem to wake early and sleep in the evening at the mo! Tip runs, housework and calling folk to find a job! Be good and I hope the phone is ringing for you with storm work! New heating is nigh on silent compared with old boiler! Ran, Can, File.
  8. Climbers take care! Windy out but clear sky! Clearing office today of loads of old paperwork and job hunting! Plus house cleaning! Rhys, Whither, Spawn.
  9. Tacks, Deadduck, Shone.
  10. Bit of a head this morning, the result of going t'pub and wine after! Bonus daughter doing roast pork dinner later and she does right good tates! Tip run with garden waste in a bit. Enjoy your day!
  11. Morning All! Think the Skoda is sold and to a tree bloke that I've known for upwards of 15 years too! Get that sorted and do a few garden jobs in between the rain showers. Enjoy the weekend! Diner, Soars.
  12. There is an agency which notifies everyone of a death, which can save a lot of time and grief, but occasionally, it has a negative effect. It transpire that as he is dead, they take his details off the ownership but do not automatically add his widow in case he has left it to someone else. Therefore it has no owner, but they list it as 'sold'. Sorted with a phone call though. But it gave time for the twat who shook on it to swerve!
  13. I'm up as she is up! She only had a couple of hours then she has gym thing! Dedication! Some more job type jobs for me and I'll take her t'pub later! Tosser who shook hands on her Dad's car did a swerve which gets right up my nose, his number is blocked and it is advertised again..... Duly, Hand, Ruse.
  14. That DSG gearbox is the dogs dangle things and at 140bhb, it gets on the way!
  15. After getting the run about and swerve from a fu#*wit trader, the father in laws car is up for grabs. Low mileage and good history, good interior blah blah blah. Slight scrape on passenger side but otherwise mighty fine! 70k miles with recent cam belt, water pump and AC pump. Suitable as Arb runabout, climbers truck or family motor. Comes with invoices and two keys, viewable in the Retford area. £6,000.
  16. More job hunting stuff this morning. Sold FIL's car at the weekend and they coming to collect it this aft. Caused some grief as the buyer sent the money over then went electronically change ownership etc, except the DVLA site said that the vehicle was already sold! Since he died and they were automatically informed, they deleted his name off the V5and were awaiting the widow to register it under her name! Couple of calls to the delay on monday and an affidavit later, sorted! Be good y'all today! Course, Sticks, Odour
  17. Few emails to sort out and try to jazz up a CV to send to a few folk. Groundsfest was good, meeting folk was good, outdoor, loads of working machinery and lots of people about. Not too much arb gear but still, Forst, TP, GM and TW there amongst others. FSI and Predator there too. Got to wake neighbours up in a mo with toy car going for MOT, hope he is a tad sympathetic and over looks a few things! Wee, Arthur, Whirled.
  18. Awake too early to be fair, don't know why! Off to Groundsfest with a bunch of cards and also visiting a couple of businesses on the way. CV writing is a tad banal when you've done the same thing for 27 years! Then the printer decided to play up so not very well armed tbh! Dud, Lea, More.
  19. Morning Team! CV writing and hospital appointment for me. Time to get gritty and determined about getting a job! Drive safely drivers and work safe the rest of you! Yew, Roast, Are.

Pike's Peak was mentioned at some point! Enjoy your Saturday all, Buoy, Earn, Mew.
