  1. It's in this weeks UK Landscape Today. Doing review of CV Show at NEC. Says will go on sale in the summer.
  2. Wonder who's stand was next to theirs. Maybe had a word.
  3. On the subject of Navara. Nissan are relaunching the D22 but rebadging it as a NP300. Will come just as it use to with all cab varients, Euro 4 133hp 2.5d and of course that 3000kg towing capability. Just wonder if they were starting to lose too many sales to Isuzu Rodeo and Ford Ranger because of the D40's poor towing capability or the fact it seems too much of a toy and not man enough for work.
  4. Might not go down too well with Timberwolf that suggestion. Their dealer assisting us. Would be nice to have a nice big Fendt on the stand tho. Cheers.
  5. We are looking for a Tractor 120HP+ / Unimog or Fast Trac etc to display this little chipper at the AA Show. Schliesing 550ZX Forestry model with Mowi 300 Crane. This unit weighs 2 tonnes so hence the need for something quite large. The vehicle will need to be on the showground from Thurs 12th June until Sat evening 14th June. This could be a good opportunity to advertise your services and boost your profile. Call Mike 01449 770044 or 07918 195570 to discuss. Cheers Guys (and gals)
  6. Only been back to ford for servicing. Mines a year old pushing 30,000 now, most of which is towing between 1 and 3 tonnes and still av low to mid 30's to the gallon. Everything clutch etc still feels like new. For £14.5k with all leather, air con etc I haven't a single complaint. (After all it is a Mazda)Lol
  7. What you carry on the van is irrevalent to your gross combination weight. If you have a 3.5 ton van it will be weighed and counted as 3.5t. This is a common mistake made be people. You can't tow more if the van is empty. The van and trailer will always be weighed seperately and those Vosa boys and girls go to bed each night reading vehicle specs. We actually do have an IVeco 35c12. It is often nudging 7 tonnes and has never let us down. Travels back and forth to Germany with 18ft trailer several times a month. We have had it chipped tho. Gives you adjustable power as and when you need it.
  8. Remember to take people in the cab into account. 3 good sized people in most 3 seat vans (ldv/transit) will put the front axle overweight. Then there are tools and ropes etc. May not seem much on their own but added all together can be alot more than you think.
  9. Gonna be a shock if you converted to US $ but in the UK your looking to pay about £26k. Always a deal to be done tho!!!!!
  10. How much would you want to pay?
  11. 35Hp with a rotor disc weighing in excess of 120KGS. TW150 rotor is under 40Kgs. The momentum in the flywheel enables this chipper to outchip many machines the quote far higher Hp's. Note the protected underside, guarded hoses and the triple hyd pumps. Great tracking ability. The tracks are 18" high. Will climb over kerbs and rail tracks without skidding along them.
  12. 220MXTR PRO. Yes its a biased opionion. Buts its good. Fixed track has 13" of ground clearance. All the underbody is smooth and protected. 9" x 7.5" feed opening and feed rollers running at 210 bar. See more pics at http://www.schliesing.co.uk.
  13. Steves XJR1300SP and my Kawasaki ZX9R. "Probably the best stress relief in the world"
  14. Look at the TW Sticker page from manual. You will see the general safety stickers (yellow boxes) all come on one sheet. The rest you will have to buy seperately. Thought your dealer should know this!! If you have not got a manual PM your details and i will send you one on CD foc. Regards Mike
  15. I've got it on the 3 network. £15 a month with a free dongle. In some areas it can be really quick. Generally i find it a bit slower than broadband but alot quicker than dial up. OK for pictures but def not quick enough to download vids unless you are very paitient. Very east to run. Its just plug and go. No software req. To me its worth every penny. Doesn't matter where I am in the country emails etc can always be accessed.
  16. U400 FRONT MOUNT £13,500.00 + VAT (270 X 230mm @ 980kgs)(9") 400ZX £11,500.00 + VAT (240 X 230mm @ 920kgs)(9") 440ZX £11,995.00 + VAT (300mm x 230mm @ 940kgs)(9") All include power control system, PTO Shaft delivery and installation. Farmi 260. CH260-2HM. Manual controls without no-stress. £8,350.00 + vat CH260-2EL. Electric controls with no- stress. £9,875.00 + vat. (both 250mm (10") capacity @ 830 - 860kgs) Regards Mike.
  17. Err Ed. Farmi 260 = 260mm x 320mm (max 10") Schliesing 550ZX = 340mm x 300mm. (max 12") Which bits bigger? lol. We have customers who own 260 farmi's and hire our 550ZX for big jobs. Agreed the farmi is good vaue for money. We sell them, but the schliesing will out perform, out last and well................. its just better all round. If you can find the extras £6k to buy it.
  18. OOPS Too late. My first question would be which model. 528 or 518? About this age the machine would have been wet sprayed so you would expect to see the bottom completely clean. look at the lower sides. Would i be right in saying thats about 20 inches missing. That would be 600 - 700 hours then.
  19. Can't confirm material Vermeer use as I don't know. As a rule most american machines don't use Udderholm. I would speak to Simon at Saturn. He will have users you can speak to and I'm sure he will be helpful.
  20. As the Schliesing distributor we are contracted to only supply genuine schliesing blades. Genuine Schliesing blades are not Udderholm chipper steel so are different to Saturns pattern ones. That said many schliesing / premier owners do use them and i have yet to hear of a failure in normal use.
  21. We sell Saturn blades for TW. Will say only for TW only tho. Why? Well Bobs right. The blade is one of the most important parts in a chipper. Years of testing goes on to get them just right. I've seen pattern blades shatter in testing and there are different makes of all types out there. Some good some bad. I am in a position to no about Saturns history and have seen destruction testing of their blades compared with genuine on TW's own testing equipment. Lets just say the results satisfy me enough to sell them with confidence. Other blades i'm not to sure about. TW and saturn blades are made out of Uddeholm Chipper Steel. Machining and heat treatment are identical. Not all chipper manufactures make their blades from this steel and on larger bladed machines I have seen the blades delaminate and break so i am still cautious. To answer the original thread anyone bought tw blades from saturn knives . are they any good? You won't notice any difference. Apart from the price that is.
  22. Yeah!!!!! I guess that would be a real struggle for u Steve!
  23. One hell of a read Dagmar. Makes you want to go and play. Hydrogen / Bio Diesel chipper on the way. Think of the possibilities?
  24. Steve. We are part of a little shooting syndicate and shoot on land near Coddenham. Come in and speak to Steve. Sort you out with a bit of beating and shooting to see if u get the bug. Regards Mike.

Remember its not just lorries. A couple of years away I know, but in 2010 every vehicle 2t - 3.5t will have to be Euro 111 or newer to avoid the charge. Thats newer than Oct 2001 and even newer than that on certain vehicles. How many Transit / LDV' s currently travel inside the M25 daily. Thousands is my guess. My advice if you are working in that area. Buy vehicles early. If you checked out 7.5T lorry prices lately you will find many dealers listing whats compliant and not. The ones that are seem to be carrying a hefty premium.
