  1. My kids went to Yosemite last summer. I think this is lower Yosemite falls.
  2. Ceres, it's just south of Modesto and about 90 miles south of Sacramento.
  3. I'm ashamed to say I live less than 3 hours from General Sherman and have never seen it. I also haven't been to Yosemite for 10 years.
  4. Here are a couple of trees we removed last week. I couldn't get a photo of the scene being finished as when I was getting my camera out I was informed that one of my guys was sick and needed to go NOW.
  5. Headache, although it's usually not necessary because as soon as my guys hear the saw start they are scattering.
  6. You know, I"ll have to respond to this, as to gyms in the prisons that is not true anymore. It was a stupid idea in the first place. I watch "Lockup" on MSNBC and they have removed the weights from the prisons. They still exercise but the only weights they can use is each other (I'm sure there is some sort of prison sex joke in there). In fact there were so many fights at Pelican Bay in California that the exercise yard is a thing of the past also. They are still let out for a hour every other day but they are put in cages by themselves to do whatever they do. Locally here, there was a citizen in Fresno that was assaulted by this guy and the guy was caught and given a couple years or so in prison. When he got out he went right back and assaulted the citizen again only this time he was way stronger from all his prison working out and the attack was much worse. Well the citizen testified in front of some leglisative committee that governs the state prisons and that coupled with a public outcry was the end of the weights.
  7. I don't think it pays to re-tip.
  8. I use one for access. I have a 24' extention ladder on the top of my forestry truck, and a lighter 16' ladder also. We almost always blow off the roof after the tree job and the ladder gets used for that also.
  9. That's pretty impressive with the two cranes. What was the reason for that?
  10. Boy, you sure do liven a place up MB! My bucket is just like Butch said. It has a chainsaw scabbard inside but not really much room for stuff. I keep a handsaw and a wedge in with the levers, but I take any other stuff up as needed. At 220 lbs I have a little leeway on the bucket ratings. Love MB's video. I have also been photoshopped using the cut-n-chuck method. The alternative is to rig down every little twig.
  11. We worked at an old cattle ranch on Wednesday. Here is our first victim of the day, a view looking to the east, the customer's home, a view looking to the west this is the road we came in on, me in the bucket.
  12. Why didn't I do that while I had it up in the air?
  13. Here are pictures of the first time I lifted my stump grinder into a flower bed.
  14. You gotta share some of Haley's questions with us OM.
  15. Dang I haven't posted here in a long time. Here are some pictures we took of a palm removal in Gustine, CA, for you limeys that's the Portuguese capital of the western US. Many immigrants mostly from the Azores to the US and many are in the dairy business. The last picture is where I was dumping the stuff.
  16. I hope so. Here is a short video of it running. We were setting the thermostat on the electric fan and were running it at about 1500 rpm. [ame] [/ame]
  17. Here is a picture of my forestry truck, almost done with the motor swap.
  18. Here is a stump we did a couple of weeks on a zelkova tree.
  19. There is no Federal sales tax here. Most of the States have a sales tax and some cities also have a sales tax and they range anywhere from I think Oregon is zero to California has a 7.5% tax and a city like San Francisco may have a couple of percent more tacked on to that.
