  7. good points and i'll add I used to use part worn many years ago,for some reason they always wore badly and prematurely, ending up in false economy

The fish took 25 mins to land , on a 6/0 hook intended for tuna [live bait under a balloon] took me around the boat 360 degrees, my heart has not pumped so hard, for a longwhile, and don't forget i'm left-handed and the reels designed for right-handed use lol Anyway got some cod pics to put up soon...

  12. My dog weighs in at 55kg, I reckon the dog was an English Mastiff sorry to split hairs.. Mastiffs were bred as game keepers dogs they tend to smother and pin you down , rather than chew your face off, which is a good thing considering they have one of the most powerful jaws in the canine world For the record my dogs lives out doors..
  13. why should a dog owner feel any guilt keeping and feeding a dog? humans have kept dogs for thousands of years, it's not my problem , that I and others are wealthy enough to feed and keep a dog!

  24. ok folks just got off the phone to the climbers employer, keep your cheque books close , but for legal reasons we can't send any checks just yet! Anyway i'm pledging x amount, Chris the climber is still in a serious condition folks!
  25. Going on from Andy Collins suggestion, regarding a setting up a fund for the injured climber Chris, I thought I'd start up a donation pledge thread.. I'll get in contact with the climbers boss and get an address for us to send him a few quid.. No need to pledge how much money, just put your name down if you intend on sending Chris a donation.. My guess is this guy will need all the help he can get for the foreseeable future! and money is a start!
