  1. You might be right, I'd like to see him win, he's a nice bloke and came from a very humble background i'm keeping my fingers crossed for him..........

  3. Oh it is, its a testament to how good they are. I've owned models ranging from, little plant trailers to 16' tilt beds and various models in-between
  4. Ifor williams all day everyday, I've owned around 10 in total..............

From what Arborists in the States have told me you don't have a quarter of the government intervention that we have................TBH our government the ''EU'' doesn't really want small businesses, so they put hurdles up, most small company's' can't afford a full time ''jobs worth/health and safety officer like the big boys, so it either hurts us financially or we loose the job.
  6. when I was an Arb contractor I worked far too many hours for way too little, sod that for a game I'm pleased I eventually came too my senses before the stress killed me, I've never known a job to be so stress full, not that Joe public understand that, they think its all about poncing about in a wood being at one with nature

    the only snag will be the weight of the running gear, I doubt it will legally carry as much as 1000kg, unless its over 3500kg gross weight truck

  9. I had a client bang on about my risk assessments etc etc a few weeks ago, I ended up telling the ''jobs worth'' I think it would be better if he found another contractor as I can't be arsed with your stupid requests!

  16. the simple thing to do is mosey on down to your local tax office
  17. in 2005 I registered my tractor i went down the tax office explained what I wanted, a bloke came out took a look at the tractor a few days later a registration number came through the post simples, I even think he filled in the form............

  21. Those that win good quality LA and commercial work, not being funny are those that are head and shoulders above the back garden crowd [in regards to H&S, office procedure, kit etc] charge accordingly!
  22. When you invest say 25K in a chipper do we always have 25k worth of work in front of us? yes we have a plan but you know what they say about plans lol, buying kit imo is a calculated gamble end of story.........
