  8. Peters right, they are crap, i've spoke to loads of tree men on yank forums about them , they all say there rubbish and your better off with a silky..
  9. Found this nice and simple diagram http://www.leics.gov.uk/figure_rt2
  10. come on fellas you must have a few funny ones in the collection
  11. I'm looking for a nice big old oak, horsechestnut, beech or cedar to innoculate with myccorhizae and soil decompact. I'd like the tree to be in a nice setting ie parkland/large lawn type environment. If the tree is showing signs of stagheading, die-back all the better. Some compaction within the root zone is also a must.. I'd need the tree to be within a 40 mile radius of Ipswich, as i'd like to monitor results, and of course post pictures on here. I'm offering this service free of charge to a smaller owner operated company and they must be members of Arbtalk. I'll be able to do this work in a fortnights time, if anyones interested please reply to this post, a picture would be good, it would also be good if the Arborist with the tree was planning on doing some surgery to the tree. Many thanks Lee

  20. I agrree i'll be suprised if I don't get a call out
  21. Thanks Andy, i've got a few more pics to add to the site eventually, and yes mate i've sent out links to a few of my existing clients. To be honest this service is aimed at more your construction site management, local authorities, arb consultants and the likes of you, the guys on the ground. You guys know when a service such as mine will be benefitual to a clients tree. I'm not presently trying to sell my services to the domestic market, a bit like too much hard work. Tree healthcare, soil decompaction is something that comes up in conversation between a contractor and a client. So far 90% of my work has come through recommendations from arb firms. This seems to work out well for all parties, the arb contractor shows the client he or she knows a thing or two about trees and is keeping up to date with modern practices, the client benefits from whatever service we feel his or her tree requires, and I get a living. On a seperate note regarding working with consultants and contractors, i'm happy to work direct for the client or the consultant/contractor i'm not fussed either way, if I work direct for the client, i'm always more than happy to add a discreet fee for the contractors time discussing tree healthcare with the client and liasing with me. At present i'm only carrying out contract work for a few local domestic clients and a few long term commercial ones, my intentions are to carry out Tree Healthcare full time, and totaly phase out arb contracting.

    big saws

next big saw I get if I ever buy a big saw, will be a makita 90 something cc..
  24. Trees like that really need a climbed inspection, by a competant arborist, especially if its in a public area.. All good in hindsite but I looked at that tree again and thought humm maybe a reduction wouldn't be a bad thing , then a few pages along I read the top blew out.. I hope the top blowing out didn't cause you any embarassment..
  25. lets try and keep on topic guys..
