  1. Yeah, met greg a few times. Seems like a nice guy. He has plenty of contacts in Sweden for contract climbing, he has the house out there, pretty sorted really.
  2. What he said.
  3. Sorry, all been turned into woodchips now
  4. Asking outright is rude. Obtuse questions is the gentlemans way
  5. I remember him talking about you. Barry is a top bloke, one of my bestest mates. I worked in both Sweden and Germany with him - I could tell you a few stories Barry has decided to sell up completely and move back to Sweden - I think the pressure of running a business was getting too much.
  6. Yes, if you look in the background, you can see the Emerald Tree Services truck.
  7. If you discount the mega priced Jenz type machines, The Dynamic Conehead is without doubt the best drum chipper you can buy. http://www.dynamicmfgcorp.com/conehead.htm
  8. I knew I was doing something wrong all these years:thumbdown:
  9. Guess that marks me out as a total amatuer then...
  10. Nice work if you can get it Tony. I have used a handsaw extensively in the past, usually for deadwooding big Tilia etc. Just dont seem to get any of that sort of work anymore. I suspect thats down to their being very little spare cash up here. Work is only done if its essential, or making way for something new. Anyhow, staying on topic, I think that handsaw users are far more likely to need the services of a first aid kit.... Sliced knuckles anyone?
  11. This is what I use for quick descents -
  12. Call me minimalist - the less dangle and jangle the better... And yes, nearly every cut I do is with a chainsaw - and an ms200 is often to small.... But thats down to the jobs I do. I nearly never get asked to reduce or thin trees. Think about it - would you ask me to reduce or thin your tree?
  13. Looks like Pete's just blown a a facefull of smoke at Anna...
  14. Dont carry a handsaw ever. And I dont want a first aid kit flapping around on biner either.
  15. Sterile wound dressing is easy to carry inside your helmet or pants pocket. If I carry a first aid kit on a harness, the last view I usually have of it is it dissapearing down through the canopy after I rub it off on a branch...
  16. They're on the office PC. I'll put them up tomorrow.
  17. Nice one Reg. You been taking lessons from my video's?
  18. Last APF's drinking session was pretty good Still have a load of the photo's
  19. Nice one LOL
  20. I remember that one. That was your first $10,000 takedown right?
  21. Love 242, 254, 266, 268, 181, 288, 385, 2100, and especially 372xp. Hate 346 and 357.
  22. I hate 262's. hate 3 that gave me endless problems.
  23. There is a big difference between a sceptic tank and a complete treatment plant like the bio-bubble or swedish soil treatment plant.
  24. Few more. It was a crash it down and leave it job, 5 douglas fir and 7 of the tallest Ash we've done. They were growing in a little steep sided valley, and with an 160ft rope, my line was still 10 off the ground on 3 of them. Not a big deal till you realize the stem only has an 18" DBH....
  25. Well I had my power ported 372 up there, so you can stick your 357 in your pipe and smoke it:001_tongue:
