  1. I put them through a chipper. not a bother anymore!
  2. Dunno, but I found a few lurking in my PM box.
  3. I need a permanent shredder on my PM box. Now duly empty of the crap, fluff, sweetie wrappers, apple cores and sawdust, soot, dust, noses, people with beards, anarchists, wreckers of law and order, Communists, Maoists, Trotskyists, neo-Trotskyists, crypto-Trotskyists, union leaders, Communist union leaders, atheists, agnostics, long-haired weirdos, short-haired weirdos, vandals, hooligans, football supporters, namby- pamby probation officers, rapists, papists, papist rapists, foreign surgeons - headshrinkers, who ought to be locked up, Wedgwood Benn, keg bitter, punk rock, glue- sniffers, Jordan and peter andre, gordon brown, thugs, bully-boys, psychopaths, sacked policemen, security guards, sacked security guards, ratialists, Paki-bashers, queer-bashers, Chink-bashers, anybody- bashers, Rear Admirals, queer Admirals, Vice Admirals, fascists, neo-fascists, crypto-fascists, loyalists, neo-loyalists, crypto-loyalists. Even found a box of new 7/32 files in there.
  4. Not really. You might have been doing a good job, but your safety standards and risk management could have been no better than a cowboy - Instead of having now to prove all that stuff for every job, you become pre-approved. The £90 is nothing though, its the hours and hours of office time that costs.
  5. ha, you'll be lucky. I stupidly sold my 1184TW about 5 years ago for £6k. Its probably worth about £18k now.
  6. CHAS is the next on the list for us. Thankfully we are pretty conversant and experienced with health and safety procedure / documentation from working for the power utilities. If you had to go into this stuff green, I'd say you would be out of your depth.
  7. Hells Teeth, the soddin' PQQ is the size of a telephone book...
  8. Just think Charlie, get a UK HGV licenece and there is no upper limit... STGO cat3 150 tonne here we come !
  9. Do you know Bryan Harper? I was due to buy one of his chippers ( a 550hp Morbark) so got invited up for the full tour. **** backed out of the deal at the last minute though...
  10. Depends mobile or stationary? the CBI is the biggest mobile, but German manufacturer Rudnick and Enners build some monster static machines. having said that, that Morbark at Norboard will do 800 cu/hr
  11. Garth - I think I just fell in love - This whole package is amazing, so well engineered and thought out. Particularly like the pop out splitter near the end... Videos > KOMPTECH Matt - yes, I've seen the bg Pezzolato's working, they have a HUGE 1000hp model on an 8 wheeler on the Austrian / Italian border
  12. sorry Garth, it would seem Komptech have started building chippers:001_unsure:
  13. Seriously, it might have been a 141 jensen, but it aint in the same league as the yank stuff.
  14. yup. Carlsberg dont make chippers, but if they did... That thing is probably the best chipper on the planet. CBI took a 6400 grinder with 1200hp and put a 6 tonne solid chipper rotor into it. absolutely mental. you dont get the perspective of how big that machine really is with that vid though.
  15. Komptech is'nt a chipper though - as far as I'm aware they make slow speed high torque shaft shredders?
  16. Talk to me before you go ahead - I'll point you in the right direction
  17. Haha, Vermeer or Jensen? That is two ends of a scale. There is little to choose between all the US manufacturers. Bandit and Vermeer are biased more towards Tree services, Morbark and Dynamic are slightly more forestry biased. Jensen are puny little things that have an infuriating infeed that drove me up the wall whenever I fed ours.
  18. Not a chipper, Its a grinder. Although CBI do a chipper rotor conversion for the 8400 series. Do you know Davey Dick? He has one... £500,000 it cost him
  19. I'd agree... but remember the BIG Heizo is probably 25% bigger than the comparable Dynamic. The 500 series conehead is probably closer to the 10-500 rather than the 14-800.
  20. If you look closely, they've bolted it to a forwarding trailer. And I would bet money on the Dynamic being stronger and heavier... It is american after all.
  21. Whats he using to chip it? G50 is a pretty rough spec, but yeah, a Heizo would do it. Trouble with screening to hard is you get a lot of dust and fines.
  22. Ever seen Bryan Harpers big Morbark chipping at full chat there? 1200hp V12 twin turbo, filling a walking floor trailer in 10 minutes...
  23. Heres a couple of vids for comparison Dynamic 510 140hp, 700 x 450mm infeed. Ever struggle with a limby pine tree? heres how to sort them out... Dynamic Manufacturing Corporation - Discover the Cone-Head Advantage! equivalent heizohack YouTube - Déchiqueteuse HEIZOHACK HM8 500K I think these two vids show the two machines at there best jobs. I would not want to put limby bushy pine through a Heizohack, but chipping dry slab, its absolutely brilliant.
  24. I always thought that too - till I saw a big Jenz screened chipper working, and saw the huge splinters and oversize they manage to blow through the screen. The Heizohack is probably the best at not producing oversize, due to its small diameter rotor, but even one of them will spit 4" sticks from log ends through the screen.
  25. Bandit 280xp... 140hp. Shrekie has the smaller brother of that machine, with the same engine. The shards and splinters is down to poor shear bar and bad knife adjustment.
