  1. Sorry, no. Autosweep just adds electronics, something I want to steer clear of.
  2. mick, stop posting fecking shite in the classical thread. some excellent choices here, particularly alinicolls. heres a few of my choices- Faure - Cantique du Jean Racine - always gives me chills.. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WpPBym_n2Y]YouTube - Faure - Op. 11 - Cantique de Jean Racine[/ame] Gorecki -2nd movement of the symphony of sorrowfull songs. heartbreakingly moving, if you dont like opera, bear in mind the lyrics she sings are the words a jewish girl scratched into the wall of her gestapo cell... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEaF873VGTM]YouTube - Gorecki Symphony of Sorrowful Songs Rebecca Evans[/ame] and seen as I'm on an opera roll, gotta post some maria callas - make sure you play this loud [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyXQz_Rtt4M]YouTube - Maria Callas is "La Wally" (w. text)[/ame]
  3. sold quite a few into the US, and some into europe, even sold a couple to an Isreali company. yes, we do an excavator conversion, i'll post pics from pc tomorrow. here is a video of the the first prototype working [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVtJdeBuvLI]YouTube - Hornet pro 38 stumpgrinder[/ame]
  4. cool... you going to sell me your hakki then:wink:
  5. glad you had a good time shrekie. did you get used to pete's accent? sort of italian/newyork/scottish mix:confused1: BTW, I had a chat with him about the Darth Vader loader, the first person to buy one will get it for dealer / import price, about £17k....
  6. I remember telling you that ages ago when you we're looking at buying a 6.5 tonner. I find them terribly uncomfortable to drive. I would consider the Iveco over any of the Japs, fantastic engine and great cabs, or if you have the money a Mercedes Sprinter or Vario.
  7. Some more pics...

    Up in Smoke

I drove into the yard, went inside for a pee, came out and flames were coming out of the intercooler vent in the bonnet. Called 999 straight away, fire brigade is only 2 miles away and got there in under 10 minutes, but the engine and front were totally destroyed.
  9. If you want to tow a trailer, then an S35 is your best bet. I have some pics of me stumpgrinding with a 35 somewhere.
  10. Dont think there are very many of them kicking about Shrekie... Should be able to find a tidy S35 though - although I reckon your better off having a spare set of bigger wheels for a small machine. That gives you the option of narrow access if you want it.
  11. I love that one. Comes with a big hifi as standard, laser cannons as extras, and looks as if it should do 200mph. I think it costs £20k
  12. Here is the stump grinder attachment we make - very powerfull and fast... Shrekie, you asked about beter tyres - The tyres on mine are yard tyres such as you would find on a bobcat. For slopes and grip you want the gray / black machine, same unit as s35, built for a euro dealer in funky darth vader style...
  13. That one does about 10mph bob, not sure about the new S23, but the GT50 I had would do 30mph!
  14. I dont sell them really, but I have access to some great deals through the dealer network (I used to be a dealer). If you do get one, I wont make a penny on it - I'm happy if mates can get a good deal. The thing thats really screwed it is the high euro / stirling exchange:thumbdown:
  15. I loves a good fire:001_wub:
  16. That had to be one of the biggest climbing roses Ive had to deal with in a long time. All tangled up in 3 40ft holly - fecking horrible. Glad we had a fire to get rid of it - Although I was amazed that the little machine pushed the whole lot onto the fire:001_smile:
  17. Its surprising quite how much they will lift and push, fantastic for the size...
  18. Several people have asked me about mini loaders for treework, so I thought I would put up some pics. For the record, I would no longer consider doing treework without some form of mini loader. Out of all the types I've tried, (bobcats, miniskids, quads) these are by far the best - CFS Multione articulated loaders. For those who want to know, These were originaly built for Avant by CFS. All the 4, 5 and 600 series avants are direct copies, with most parts interchangeable. I'll keep adding to this thread as I find pics, heres a few from the last 2 days.
  19. Mini loaders? I'll post some pics...

Perfectly Chilled. Get over myself? lets see.. I consider making cheap jokes about someone's loss and misfortune bad taste. You may consider that perfectly acceptable, but accept that under such circumstances, someone may tell you to Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Oscar Foxtrot Foxtrot:wink:
  21. If you watch a conventional processor, its actually quite slow. A little Japa or Hakki would be faster.
  22. Hahn equipment in the US builds them. I spoke to a guy in the US who has one, he does'nt reckon it will last very long with the abuse they get. Very expensive, about £20k.

Fcuk off. Highly inconveniant, and I would'nt have bothered spending £2k on it in the first place.

JD are trading on their past history - they are no more reliable these days than any other brand. Reckon a zetor would have less callouts these days than a Deere. They are $hit for forestry work, impossible to guard, to much glass, low ground clearance, to many wires. Best tractor I've owned was a 1184TW county, and a 3680 MF. As for things bursting into flames, feel sorry for me. Had a £2k top end rebuild on the Patrol, including recon head (badly cracked) and new turbo. Only the garage did a shoddy job, and it blew into an oilway soon after. Patrol takes nearly 9 litres of oil, the lot got lown out the rocker box and all over the engine - Hot turbo plus hot oil soaked engine bay and flammable fumes = Considering sueing the garage that did the work:angry:
  25. Not American, its Danish. They are usually badged as NHS, and used to be sold by alpha plant. They are well built, but heavy, and are a simple copy of the TP230 / 08 Gandini / Ducker 8 chippers.
