    Work force.

I'm sorry but unless you find a youngster with a decent work ethic and build them up you don't stand a chance paying 50.00 a day and i take it that's before tax ? If you want good staff you have to pay good money, this will also have a positive effect on your business because productivity will go up with semi-skilled labour. No explaining yourself every 5 minutes. I found out the hard way, it wasn't until just before i packed in my business i learnt this lesson. Skilled or semi-skilled staff will also take the pressure off you freeing you to go and quote etc. If you can't afford to pay more then maybe you need to look at your overheads, and day rate.
  2. Lol I sometimes forget alot of guys haven't seen bigger chippers working. Once you've handfed an 18" chipper there's no going back lol...

  20. G30,G40, and G50 refers to the size of the chip 30mmx30mm etc. It also means it has a moisture content of less than 30%. G spec chip is used for a no. of things usually play chip, ornamental chip and smaller scale heating plants. It will cost you anywhere upto 80.00 per ton delivered in. G spec chip is nearly always produced from chipping roundwood that has been felled and stacked to season. It is then chipped to order as being a high value product you don't want vast stores sitting around. Depending on the chipper you will get slivers in the chipping process, some suppliers us included will screen out these slivers and send them for equine use etc. G spec chip is an industry standard specification. http://www.ahsrecycling.co.uk/wood_biomass/
