  1. it does damage the rope. i have one. its sold as a rescue ascender. its nice and small so it can go on the harness unnoticed, but i guess the down side is it damages the rope....not really suitable for regular use. makes a nice key fob though

  8. i have 2 speeds on mine....ive never tried running on the 1000 but im assuming it would provide less torque?? would this loss of power be transferred into the hydraulics giving less splitting power? apologies if thats a stupid question, my knowledge on such things is limited!
  9. i run mine pretty hard. it makes a huge difference to what the splitter will cope with if you skimp on revs
  10. it'll still be a little light on the steering with a 35hp, definetly benefit having some front weights on.
  11. the hakki pilke only needs 15hp to run it, but you'll need at least a 35hp tractor to move it around comfortably.
  12. what i can never understand is people who put in their description "listed elsewhere" whats that supposed to mean? do they not understand that once its on ebay, thats where it has to be sold?
  13. al what you have to bear in mind also, in this country most people buy their logs in about 8-10" lengths.
