  1. Likewise with the earlier comment about people pointing out its nearing break time. I will work a bit longer in these cases
  2. Yeah theres extensive topics on Aspen. I use Aspen exclusively now. Yes its more expensive than pump fuel, but I always know my fuel is fresh and mixed perfectly. I have zero running issues with my saws these days.
  3. Hope all the above appreciate Heather Brooke
  4. Perhaps I wasn't entirely clear. Yes the customer doesn't know whats best for the tree for the most part, so its a case of reaching a compromise somewhere in the middle from my experience.
  5. not exactly 'on site', but i hate when passengers put their hands up to thank other drivers who have pulled over to let you through. Thats the drivers job!
  6. Absolutely, thats where the true skill lies. We are a service industry at the end of the day. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just kidding themselves
  7. Good question. Loads of people I know are after workers.
  8. Good idea for a thread. Must start photographing the crap ones! This was a silver maple from last week, absolutely hate working on these trees. The spec was a bit harsh so its basically just a damm good topping really. Was slightly awkward to get a good shape on but didn't come out so so bad all things considered Save

  15. I expect they are probably trained, and hopefully vetted? What about the community speed watch plebs, whats the criteria there?
  16. This is what I suspected Next time I might pull over if I have nothing better to do and just get in the way
  17. These really piss me off. If i get a speeding ticket from the police thats a fair cop, you do the crime you do the time etc. But these 'community volunteers' really get on my wick, I refuse to accept they have any authority to even carry out this task, and I also very much doubt they are whiter than white themselves when it comes to speeding. I have had 2 letters now from the police with regards to being clocked by these people. Both times they said this was a first warning, and a second time could result in points and a fine. Wondering if this is just a bluff, and if its even legal for the police to take action based on the results of these community speed watches. More of a rant than anything this is Save
  18. I have one of the knackk boxes from lincmaster as mentioned above. I spent a while researching before I bought. The price tag was higher than the others but I believe they still offered the best value for money
  19. Jensen brings two new state-of-the-art woodchippers to the UK! The all-terrain A530 Spider is a mighty machine with unrivalled manoeuvrability.
