  5. Good evening everyone, as mentioned on the other thread the chat room is out of order so I will be announcing the results in this thread one at a time. Results will be posted in the following format: Sponsor - prize donated - ticket number - arbtalk username
  6. Well i'm afraid the chat room isn't going to happen tonight. I will start a new thread at 8pm and post the results one at a time there.
  7. Keep up the hard work, wish I had your enthusiasm!
  8. Yes if I can't get it fixed in time. Peter could sort this out in a jiffy but as hes in New Zealand hes sleeping now......He does however have a new born baby so fingers crossed that means he'll be up nice and early and get my SOS messages in time
  9. I'm not sure if i'm going to be able to get it working in time. Its been on problem after another this year! My fault for just assuming everything would be working I guess.
  10. I have in the past excavated and straightened trees of a similar size at the clients request, although i'm not sure its necessarily the best thing for the tree. I think Ruskins advice is spot on really.
  11. Had the arbortecs a few weeks now and I like them. Seem to have loosened up round the hips. I think the back pad might get a bit hot and sweaty in the summer months but we shall see.
  12. Oh, apparently the chat room isnt working, looking to get this fixed asap
  13. Thank you everyone for your contribution again this year. The draw will be held this evening at 8pm live in the chat room, with results posted on the main forum shortly after. Hope to see you all there and good luck! Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists -
  14. Yes, I would rate the 230 over the 190 any day, its a fantastic machine IMO.
  15. hundreds of hours, on just one subject? Where do you literally find the time amongst all the other things you research? Thats at least 9 solid days without sleep researching one subject.
  16. because my software is out of date, it doesnt recognise image orientation from mobile devices.
  17. seems a lot of money for a machine that only does one thing, could get an attachement to do similar for any number of other multi use machines on the market

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
